Join The CASA Champions for Children Board and Destination: Muncie for a night full of laughs, all while supporting the Delaware County CASA Program! All proceeds from this event, will go to supporting children in the CASA Program with items and services they may need. The CASA Board has provided dance lessons, basketball hoops, digital cameras, birthday/holiday gifts, and blankets to children whose DCS placement may not have the ability to provide these items/services to them. For this inaugural Comedy Event, we are excited to announce Indiana's own, Brent Terhune as our Headliner! There will be an opening act to be announced at a later date. Brent has tens of thousands of followers and bits that have raked in millions of views! Since the show is at 7:30, enjoy a complimentary dessert bar and non-alcoholic beverages. Welcome to the WIBU April Luncheon ! Join us on Wed, Apr 16, 2025 at 11:30 AM for a delicious meal and networking opportunity at Westminster Village Muncie Inc. Our speaker this month is Peggy Lewis with the Human Library. They were our organizational ATHENA recepient for 2024. The Human Library is a not-for-profit learning platform, that has hosted personal conversations designed to challenge stigma and stereotypes. Started first as in-person event at fairs and festivals in Copenhagen, Denmark, the Human Library is now in over 80 countries on 6 continents. The Central Indiana Depot, originally known as the Muncie Depot, started in 2019 with one event and has grown to include Human Libraries in Muncie, Plainfield, Indianapolis, Richmond, Kokomo and Fort Wayne. A Depot is a permanent home for the Human Library in a geographical area. There are only 4 other Depots in the United States. Organizer Peggy Lewis is the Central Indiana Depot Manager and Head Librarian. After reading about the project in a magazine, she eventually submitted an application to start a Depot here. Come celebrate the Ball State women’s basketball teams historic season on Monday, April 28 at 6:30 pm ET in Worthen Arena. Ball State was crowned the MAC regular season and tournament champions along with an automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament. Ball State ended its historic season with an overall record of 27-7. Brady Sallee was the MAC Coach/Staff of the Year along with the MAC Player of the Year and MAC Tournament MVP Ally Becki. Please join us for a night of fun to help celebrate the 2024-25 Cardinals.
