At the end of the 18th century, British colonists arrived in Australia to survey and map this unfamiliar land. The Aboriginal homeland was divided into pieces of royal land and private property. In January 1788, British Admiral Arthur Phillip drew the first colonial boundary line on the sands of Manly Bay. From then on, the Aboriginal Australians were forced to leave the land where they had lived for 60,000 years. This exhibition brings together sketches, artworks, artifacts, historical maps and landscape prints from the Beat Knoblauch collection from the New South Wales Museum of History and other institutions, leading the audience to gain an in-depth understanding of Sydney's vernacular landscape from the perspective of the Aboriginals and review the development history of the New South Wales colony.

In the crevices between light and shadow, between order and chaos, we dwell under the same sky—close, yet never without distance. Co-Living: In the Crevices of Light unfolds like a contemporary duet, where Peng Yong’s meditative strokes meet Wang Xiaoshuang’s urban textures. It is their shared response to the idea of “symbiosis”—not as harmony or conflict, but as a state of mutual pull, echo, and co-construction, where coexistence is no assumed but continuously shaped.

It’s our job to bring the listener in through our portal. A numinous moment when, hopefully, we can make time stand still. - Richard Tognetti The incomparable Richard Tognetti AO, Artistic Director of the ACO, joins forces with Australia's most formidable pianist, Konstantin Shamray in this tour-de-force recital that will leave you gasping for more. Programme: BACH Fugue from Violin Sonata No.3 in C Major SCHUBERT Fantasie in C MajorInterval BACH Prelude from Violin Partita No.3 in Emajor BRAHMS Violin Sonata No 1 in G Maj Richard Tognetti has established an international reputation for his compelling performances and artistic individualism. He began his studies in Wollongong NSW with William Primrose, then with Alice Waten at the Sydney Conservatorium, and Igor Ozim at the Bern Conservatory, where he was awarded the Tschumi Prize as the top graduate soloist in 1989. Later that year he led several performances of the Australian Chamber Orchestra, and that November was appointed as the Orchestra’s lead violin and, subsequently, Artistic Director. He is also Artistic Director of the Festival Maribor in Slovenia. Richard plays a 1743 Guarneri del Gesu worth over $15m, an instrument that Paganini has played himself. Described as an exhilarating performer with faultless technique and fearless command of the piano, pianist Konstantin Shamray enjoys performing on an international level with the world’s leading orchestras and concert presenters. In 2008, Konstantin burst onto the concert scene when he won First Prize at the Sydney International Piano Competition. He is the first and only competitor to date in the 40 years of the competition to win both First and People’s Choice Prizes, in addition to six other prizes. Since then, Konstantin performs extensively throughout the world. In Australia recent and future season highlights include engagements with the Queensland Symphony, West Australian Symphony and twice with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra who he enjoys a special relationship with. This marks our second fundraising concert for CanRevive Cancer Support Services, following our first collaboration in 2017. Apollo Wong, the champion of the 2019 Hong Kong Choral Conducting Competition, will join in presenting a vibrant selection of Chinese and international choral pieces. To celebrate this renewed partnership with CanRevive, our Music Director has adapted CanRevive’s 30th-anniversary theme song, “You’ll Never Walk Alone”, into Cantonese. The fresh arrangement by Alex Tam will have its premiere at the concert

CAN -TORONTO - SHOOTING SMALL GROUP SESSION Bring your notebooks for the classroom sessions that will start each day! At this pop-up small group session, athletes will experience a comprehensive and intensive session, where they'll have an opportunity to dive deep into shooting science both in the classroom and on court. It's hard to improve at anything that we don't understand, so the goal of this clinic is to provide athletes with a holistic understanding of the ideal movements that the best shooters in the world use, and the reasons why they work. - THIS IS *NOT* A REGULAR "CAMP" EXPERIENCE. My reputation depends on you becoming a better shooter. And I take that personally. ALL ATHLETES MUST download the Shooters Shoot Training App to attend camp. (This is no extra cost!) -Apple Download -Google Play Download In your confirmation email, you’ll receive a private link to join the In-Person Immersive Experience . Athletes get FREE access for 21 days, and while we encourage you to start exploring it about 14 days before camp, it’s totally okay if you’re not in right away — you’ll still get plenty out of it once you do. -A 10-workout pre-session plan -A 5-workout post-session plan These workouts are specifically tailored to complement the in-person curriculum that your athletes will experience at camp. Even if you sign up less than 10 days before camp, downloading and getting access to this plan is VITAL. You can always complete the workouts after our time together! By registering for this event, you are agreeing to the Terms & Conditions . Information Source: BriAnna Joy Garza | eventbrite
