Saturday, April 19, 2:00 – 3:30 p.m. Join us for this celebratory event as two extraordinary yoga teachers and healers unite to take you on a transformational journey like never before, working together to honor the power of personal change and manifestation as we focus on Renewal. Immerse yourself in the healing sounds of four planetary gongs: the planet Uranus gong for healing the Sacral Chakra, gongs tuned to Jupiter and Mars, and the powerful gong tuned to the planet Venus to balance social harmony, self-confidence, and self-esteem. Crystal singing bowls and Tibetan bowls will also be added to raise the vibration and heighten the experience. This class includes Renewal-themed meditations, chanting mantras, poetry readings, breathwork, and gentle movements. It is suitable for all levels. Please bring a mat or blanket to lie on (pillow if you need one.) Chairs are available for those who prefer not to lie on the floor . Jenny Bergold (Jagatjeet Kaur) started practicing yoga in 1999 and teaching in 2009. Jenny has her 200-hour hatha certification from Heaven Meets Earth Yoga in Evanston, IL, and her 200-hour kundalini certification from Spirit Rising Yoga in Chicago, IL. Jenny is also certified in prenatal, restorative, yin, and radiant child yoga. Jenny's classes focus on the mind and meditation, healing the body through asana, and uplifting the spirit through inspiration. Monika Diebes has been practicing yoga for over a decade. Her passion for this ancient tradition and holistic healthcare system has led her down a path of endless discovery and study. Monika makes use of the entire yoga toolbox, utilizing postures, breathwork, mudras, mantras, and meditation while incorporating many traditional styles of yoga as well as various healing modalities into her classes. Teaching both adults and children, her main focus is cultivating a sense of physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing and a love for the practice among all her students. FILM DESCRIPTION: ' 50 States of Sustainability' is a series of short documentaries that highlight people working to make the United States more sustainable. The series features people from corporations, non-profits, startups, and government. Teens and young adults are encouraged to attend. We will also be screening one of the One Earth Young Filmmakers winning films A Dark Future by Riley Adler, Curran Randhawa, Dylan Wilson, and Janelle Lim. Stay after the film for an enlightening facilitated dialogue with relevant experts and advocates. ADA-compliant accessible venue. Church was built in 1930, now a landmark in the City of Wheaton, and congregations have been in Wheaton since 1853. “Let us begin again...” St. Francis “Spring cleaning” is an annual tradition in many households, but do we ever think about doing a spring cleaning on ourselves? This retreat will offer suggestions on simplifying our daily lives, thought processes, spiritual beliefs, and how this ongoing process brings us closer to the Divine. Our day will include presentations, small group sharing. Lunch is on your own - with an opportunity to walk the Peace Path and the St Clare Garden during that time.
