Dj Shinski, also known as Shirin Kamau, is an up-and-coming artist from Kenya. He is an electronic music producer and DJ specializing in house and techno. Dj Shinski has been behind the decks for over a decade, crafting unique sounds that draw from multiple genres. His passion for music and unique blend of styles has made him one of the most popular DJs in Kenya. Early Career Dj Shinski began his career in 2009, playing local clubs and parties in Nairobi. He quickly gained a following among the city’s club goers and began to expand his sound by playing festivals and clubs across East Africa. In 2014 he released his first EP, “The Return of the King”, which was met with critical acclaim. Since then he has released several EPs and singles which have been featured on numerous compilations and radio shows. His music is a reflection of his diverse influences as he blends elements from multiple genres to create something new and exciting. Awards and Recognition Dj Shinski has been recognized by numerous publications including Rolling Stone Magazine and The Guardian who praised his unique sound and production style. In 2015 he was awarded Best Electronic Act at the Afrima Awards and in 2018 he was nominated for Best Electronic Album at the AFRIMMA Awards. She graduated from Western University with a Bachelor of Music (Honours in Orchestral Instrument – Flute Performance) and a Minor in French Studies, studying under Stephen Tam. After completing her undergraduate degree, Natalina continued her education at McGill University, where she studied under Joanna G’froerer, the Principal Flute of the National Arts Centre Orchestra (NACO). She recently earned her Master’s degree in Flute Performance from McGill. Kristian Del Cantero is a Canadian guitarist and composer from Hamilton, ON. He graduated from the Amsterdam Conservatory with a Bachelor of Music (Honours in Guitar Performance) under the direction of Gabriel Bianco.
