Mikhail Laxton is an Australian-born, Canada-based singer-songwriter whose music blends alternative roots, soul, and folk into a rich, timeless sound. Drawing inspiration from his upbringing in a small coastal town, his time spent in major Australian cities, and his journey to Canada, Laxton crafts songs that explore love, change, and self-discovery. With a voice that’s both raw and soulful, his music carries a deep sense of authenticity, pairing thoughtful lyricism with melodies that linger long after the song ends.
Laxton has shared the stage with artists like Julian Taylor and Kathleen Edwards and opened for The Teskey Brothers at Montreal’s l'Olympia. He is currently finishing his upcoming album, "Present Nostalgia", co-produced by himself and Jim Bryson, further solidifying his place as a distinctive voice in modern roots music.
The Arts & Life Circle is a gorgeous, renovated church located in Roblin, Ontario, just north of Napanee. The space is intimate and resonant, just the perfect size for listening and dancing with new friends and music-lovers from all over Lennox & Addington!
