For the past six months, Moseley Road Baths has collaborated with a talented group of young curators, aged 18-30. Together, they have crafted a truly innovative podcast called 'Bathcasts'. In each episode, one of the individuals connected to the historic baths is interviewed while sitting in one of its bathtubs. Our host, Rachel Baker, adds a touch of comedy as she delves into the lives, community spirit, and even the temperature of the water surrounding the interviewees. To enhance the podcast experience, we have commissioned original poetry and music from ten exceptional Birmingham artists, ensuring that each episode is a unique and captivating auditory journey. We invite you to listen to 'Bathcasts' while indulging in a relaxing bath at home, immersing yourself in water just like our interviewees. During the launch event, we will revel in the mesmerizing compositions from our talented musicians and poets. The All Classes British Taekwondo Poomsae National Referee Course is a comprehensive qualification and refresher course designed for referees of all classes. This course aims to enhance the skills and knowledge of participants and prepare them for the challenges of officiating in taekwondo poomsae competitions. The course is divided into different classes, each targeting a specific level of qualification or refresher training. Class 3 is for new referees, providing them with the necessary foundation to start their officiating journey. To complement the creative workshops, a series of music and design-related talks will be held prior to each workshop. This public program, organized by True Form Projects, is free for all attendees. Abeera, who divides her time between Birmingham, UK, and Karachi, Pakistan, has extensive experience working with musicians on both print and digital design, including album covers and music album websites. Currently, Faisal is archiving one of the largest South Asian record collections in the UK, a project that has garnered attention from BBC 6 Music, The Guardian, and Vinyl Factory. Lastly, on January 6th, 2024, from 11am to 12pm, DJ, producer, vocalist, and visual artist Zoya Ahmed, also known as DJ Rizmi, will take you on a journey into the mystical dimensions of sound, music, and collective movement. Firecrest Mountain Biking's Skills Training is built on 'The System', a proven method that takes a holistic approach to MTB skills development. By understanding the 'why' behind the techniques, rather than just the 'how', participants gain a unique perspective on improving their skills and enhancing their riding experience on the trails.
