Tour the Allegheny Observatory | 159 Riverview Ave

Jun 12, 2025 (UTC-4)ENDED
Pittsburgh
Cultural Experiences
The doors open at 8:00. A short presentation in the lecture hall introduces the Allegheny Observatory and some of the important science. A tour of the building including the rotunda and two telescope domes shares the exciting, dramatic and sometimes humerous story of the Allegheny Observatory. Children are welcome, but the content is designed for adults. At other times programming for children is available. The tour is about two hours including the telescope viewing. There are several staircases and some standing. The building is not a museum or science center. Everyone must stay with the docent. Some areas are off limits. These tours often fill completely and there is a waiting list. If your plans change, please cancel, either through this app, by emailing allegheny-observatory@pitt.edu or by calling 412-321-2400. There is no charge, but donations are welcome and go to supporting public outreach. Note: If your goal is to look through a telescope, please do not sign up, then cancel or no show if it is cloudy. This keeps people who want to tour from booking. Consider the star parties hosted by the Amateur Astronomy Association of Pittsburgh . That is where you will have incredible viewing opportunities. You can hear that voice on Netflix is a Joke Radio or his full length special on YouTube, "Maybe They're Dead." , which has over 146,000 views. He is also popular on TikTok and Instagram, where millions of people have watched and reacted to clips of his comedy. Ryan was one of nine up and coming comedians Netflix included in their comedy festival's "Introducing..." showcase, which you can watch on Netflix's Youtube page. Goodcase has also joined the likes of Dana Carvey, Doug Stanhope, and Sinbad by winning the San Francisco International Comedy Competition in 2021 . You might also recognize him from a series of comedic Bed, Bath & Beyond commercials where he plays an apathetic sales associate (his lawyers have assured me that my performance had nothing to do with Bed, Bath & Beyond's filing for bankruptcy.) If not you may use your ticket for any future event.** Saturday Night Speed Dating @ Crafted North | Marriott City Center – June 14th 2025 Ages: 24-36 | 7PM 112 Washington Pl, Pittsburgh, PA 15219 For more information visit us at: DoRelish.com Or email us at: info@dorelish.com http://www.dorelish.com We think the best relationships are forged when we are comfortable, relaxed and free of pressure. Preferring instead to think of the evening as a casual night out where one can truly be themselves. We do not use traditional 'speed dating' offerings such as bells, whistles and name-tags. Instead we focus on creating an atmosphere conducive to meeting others; a great venue, a personable host and a staff to assist. Upon registration, you'll be sent an email inviting you to login to your mobile ‘Smart-Card’. As the event begins, log-in to your scorecard and let the flirting begin. You'll be able to choose whom you wish to meet again, to what degree you like them and have until midnight to submit your final selections for matching. Once the clock strikes midnight - return to our platform to see your matches. You can also access your profile via mobile, tablet or PC. Our platform isn't an app so it requires absolutely no downloading and can be accessed directly from our website, anytime. Should you have any questions - feel free to ask away. Take the time before the event starts to settle in - have a beverage if you would like and mingle should you wish. Chat up our Hosts for tips or simply to ask, which direction the bar is in! After being shown to your table, the ladies will remain seated for the duration of the event. The gents move from lovely lady to lovely lady every six to seven minutes. Your mobile scorecard gives you the ability to see all the participants attending your event, upload your picture, make your selections and be notified of your matches all from your phone. Don't fret about figuring out if the person is the one or the perfect person for you. Consider it the date before the date. If you choose someone and they chose you - it's a match. You will be given each others first name and email address. The rest is up to you. ----- For those that prefer the same simplified experience in Matchmaking, we offer our 'Date-Nights' free of contracts and commitments. With packages ranging from $595 to $945. For more information; Click Here! Need a bit of advice or guidance?
