It is a real Chamber Music Concert Season and will take place every Sunday at 6pm. The church of San Silvestro al Quirinale is a historical place of great prestige, the church called of the Three Councils is part of the same architectural complex as the Papal Stables near the Hill, where the presidency of the republic is located. The small dimensions of the church lend themselves to chamber music The smaller the number of musicians, the smaller the distance that separates the musicians from the audience must be stated the composer Stravinsky and, the Church of San Silvestro, in addition to being one of the most precious jewels of the Baroque, intimate and intimate, with small dimensions, enjoys exceptional acoustics which allows you to listen to the music in an engaging way. The inauguration on Sunday 23 March will begin with a guided tour of the Church, where it is possible to immerse yourself in the golden atmosphere that attracted Michelangelo, who met his circle of friends here, including the noblewoman Vittoria Colonna, and admire the stupendous panel from the 1200s (Virgo lactans), statues and frescoes created by important artists such as Domenichino, Giovanni Alberti, the Cavalier d'Arpino and Alessandro Algardi. The church, built in the 9th century and enlarged in the 16th century, is a hidden jewel because: closed to the public, full of frescoes and canvases, suspended in the air, placed as it is nine meters above street level, after the concerts to continue enjoying the exclusive afternoon, a toast will be offered on the terrace and cloister of the church from where you can enjoy the view over the roofs of the city. The artistic direction of Sebastiano Brusco offers classical music pieces performed by musicians with international careers from Spain, France, Ukraine, Macedonia and Italy. After all the concerts, an auspicious toast will be served on the terrace overlooking the Quirinale Palace, the end is expected at 8.00 pm. The first concert on March 23rd will be a revival of music for violin and piano, dedicated to Kreisler, a composer and virtuoso violinist with traditional pieces from the romantic and twentieth-century era which are often performed as an encore. Joaquin Palomares, an internationally renowned Spanish musician in a duo accompanied on the piano, will play for us. The next concert on March 30th will move from the arias of Italian operatic bel canto to chamber romances, ending with two traditional songs. Neapolitan author, performer Tamara Angelowska soprano of Macedonian origin, winner of international competitions, accompanied by the pianist and director Paolo Scibilia. In the third concert on Sunday 6 April we will hear both orchestral dance pieces such as Swan Lake by Thcaikowsky and Spartacus by Kachaturian in original transcriptions and a precious page by Brahms on a theme by Schumann of sublime poetic depth. The Bari Argenteri/Campagnola duo of two exceptional pianists with solo concert careers and for some years also in a piano duo will play. The fourth concert will be the April 13th and we will have the honor of having the cellist Francois Ragott and the guitarist Nathalie Mengual who will come from the south of France with a program that straddles Spanish and Franco/Catalan cultures. The fifth concert will be on Easter 20 April in which the extraordinary Ukrainian virtuoso pianist Olga Zdorenko will perform (at just 17 years old she played Rachmaninov's third concerto with the orchestra) and will perform an extraordinary program with Chopin's 24 piano preludes and Liszt's famous B minor sonata! At the end of the first edition of this chamber season, Sebastiano Brusco, the poet of the piano who will paint with sonority and splendor a concert with a program mainly focused on Chopin ballads, dreams, and nocturnes with music including Debussy, Liszt Rachmaninov and others, will conclude on April 27th.
