Our immensely popular Dinner Detective shows are set in the present day. Unlike other mystery dinner shows, here you will find no cheesy costumes, no recited campy dialogue and no hokey song and dance. Our performers are dressed just like everyone else, leaving all of the guests to suspect who is a part of the show and who is not. In many instances, guests are seated with the performers and don't even realize it until they die...the performers, that is! Our Detectives proceed to interrogate everyone and find clues as the mystery unfolds. At the end of the night, prizes are awarded to the Top Sleuth who solves the crime. The Dinner Detective performs at the Ruby River Hotel. We offer an amazing true-crime mystery show paired with a fantastic four-course plated dinner. Water and coffee are included, and there is a cash bar available as well. OUR MENU: Appetizer: Charcuterie or Bruschetta (Chef’s Choice)House Salad, with Rolls & ButterChoice Of Entree: Chicken Piccata w/ penne pasta, parsley, with lemon white wine sauceGrilled Salmon Filet w/ romesco sauce, risotto, and grilled asparagusPasta Primavera (Vegetarian)Dessert: CannoliPlease note, short lighting blackouts are used as part of the performance. Our guests are encouraged but not required to perform or participate. However, since our actors are hidden in the audience, other audience members may interact with and interrogate you on their own. The show takes place all around you! Our actors are seated all around the room, possibly at your table. We also ensure each table gets to see every clue and witness every important scene, so all guests have an equal chance to solve the mystery! The Dinner Detective is a show geared toward adults. Cultural Experiences
What happens when a comedian walks into a volcano? In 2023, Ben Miller was the artist in residence at Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park, the first ever stand-up comedian ever selected. This was probably a terrible idea on their part. Come watch this show where scientist turned stand-up comedian Ben Miller explores volcanology, entomology, Hawaiian history, cats, cookies, and more. And yes that photo is real. Ben has made people laugh in front of a burning lava lake and he is not afraid of you. Ben Miller is an NYC based scientist turned comedian who has been working for the past 8 years. In that time, he has performed at all the top clubs in the city such as Broadway Comedy Club, Carolines, and The Stand. Ben was once ranked as the top roast battler in NYC. He has a degree in Materials Science and Engineering, worked on a science bus, 3D printed cookies and has defused a few bar fights while on stage. In 2022, Ben Miller's debut hour, Stand-Up Science, had a completely sold-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and he now tours internationally. This show is recommended for ages 18+. Student discount available upon request. Doors: 7:30 PM. Showtime: 8 PM Information Source: Ben Miller | eventbrite
