Bealby Point Live! with Special Guest Jeremy Kneeshaw | The Effie Arts Collective
Apr 3, 2025 (UTC-8)ENDED
Kamloops
Bealby Point Live at The Effie Arts Collective with Special Guest Jeremy Kneeshaw We are so excited to finally be returning to Kamloops!! Last time out we had an unfortunate flat tire which forced us to miss our Kamloops show... But we are SO back and out for redemption! We cant wait to see you all very soon!! Bealby Point In a world full of micro-influencers, digital grifters, and spon-con hucksters, Vancouver quartet Bealby Point offers a simple promise: what you see is what you get. Formed in 2018, the indie rockers have built a sterling reputation thanks to their polished live performances and intricate, approachable songwriting. Drawing inspiration from alt-rock icons including The Strokes, Weezer, Young The Giant, and Red Hot Chili Peppers, the boys’ signature sound centers on big hooks, big solos, and even bigger grooves. While the path forward has been at times rocky, with the four members struggling to navigate the realities of working-class creative life in one of the world’s most expensive cities, the challenges have only brought them closer together. Brotherly love is the basis for everything Bealby Point does, and their recent sessions are no exception. Produced by their trusted sound engineer JJ Heath, the band’s new material was recorded at the small but stylish studio, Phony Records. Situated across the inlet from where they grew up riding bikes and sneaking beers, the new material, recorded in early 2024, bridges the gap between fantasy and nostalgia, with Armstrong offering a cinematic perspective on the passing of time. Indeed, songs like “Fairytale” and “Better Off Eventually” find Bealby Point basking in a summer sunset, but also increasingly aware of the long shadow that it casts. Since 2022, the band has built a devoted following in the Greater Vancouver Area, playing sold-out shows at several well-known venues including The Fox Cabaret (April 2022, March 2023), Fortune Sound Club (August 2022), The Rickshaw Theatre (April 2023), and The Pearl (September 2023). They have also taken their show on the road in 2024, playing 9 shows on their self booked and promoted Western Canadian “What’s the Point” Tour including a showcase at NXNE in Toronto, and have opened for exciting acts including, The Jins, and MONOWHALES. As of July 2024, they have amassed 1,207,422 streams on Spotify. With their foundation firmly entrenched in their home province, the band will embark on the next chapter of its career by touring Western Canada for the second time in March 2025. Along the way, they will visit their namesake, just north of Nelson, B.C., to draw inspiration for future material. With a renewed sense of purpose, Bealby Point wants nothing more than to sit back and enjoy the ride. To chase down a dream on that not-so-distant horizon. They hope you will join them. Jeremy Kneeshaw Secwepemc Guitarist Jeremy Kneeshaw has a variety of backgrounds involving Carpentry, Religion, Athletics, HVAC and growing up on the Reserve, there’s firm belief that Music has stayed with him through it all.
Releasing the Jeremy Kneeshaw Album, the Jeremy Kneeshaw Album Vol II, Vol III, 4th Try, A Cover Album, and a Christmas album - “I’ve Got My Love to Keep Me Warm”, the love for recording was instant and exhilarating. Building and founding Cutting Station Studios during the Covid19 Pandemic with clientele recording in different genres, with different instruments and with different languages brought with it a diverse approach to the guitar, both acoustic and electric. Playing with a minimal pedal set up, with a thumbpick, and inspiration from all genres and eras of music, there’s more to the sound than meets the eye.
A “Hired Gun”, Jeremy Kneeshaw plays for weddings, dances, theatre acts, bands, recording sessions and private concerts. “Best of Kamloops - Musician” category named him Best Musician in Kamloops in 2022 and 2024.

Apr 6, 2025 (UTC-8)ENDED
Kamloops
7:00 PM Doors Open 7:30 PM - 9:45 PM Performance “Acoustic Guitarist of the Year” and celebrated singer/songwriter Christie Lenée is more than a musician – she’s an experience. Symphonic compositions flow from her fingertips effortlessly, with sound ranging from transcendental folk-pop to virtuosic instrumentals. Christie has been described as “Dave Matthews meets Joni Mitchell and Michael Hedges,” integrating melodic pop lyricism with catchy hooks and percussive, harmonic textures. Since achieving 1 st place at the International Fingerstyle Guitar Championship in 2017, her captivating performances have been seen on stages with Tommy Emmanuel, Tim Reynolds (Dave Matthews Band), Andy McKee, Amy Ray (Indigo Girls), Melissa Etheridge, Antigone Rising, Kaki King, Jake Shimabukoro and Christopher Cross to name a few. Featured on the Grammy Museum’s virtual program streaming from Los Angeles, a 2x Finalist in the USA Songwriting Competition, plus a variety of articles in Guitar Player Magazine, Acoustic Guitar Magazine, and the recent notability of “Best Acoustic Guitarists in the World Right Now” (Guitar World Magazine), Christie continues to awe crowds with the unique essence of her music. Lenee’s newly released album Coming Alive reminds devout listeners of her spiritual and sublime songwriting, inspirational lyrics, and of course, sensational guitar playing. The first line of the intro title track (“I’ve got a feeling deep inside”), tells you everything you need to know: Lenée’s sixth album is a chronicle of joy and hope, of self-confidence and empowerment, of renewal and light. Coming Alive features iconic guitar hooks and powerhouse vocal performances. She collaborated with a bevy of talented musicians on the album, including co-producer Matthew Odmark (Jars of Clay), drummer Keith Carlock (Steely Dan, Toto, Sting, John Mayer), bassist Adam Nitti (Kenny Loggins, Carrie Underwood, Susan Tedeschi), and keyboardist Charlie Lowell (Jars of Clay). It was a dream lineup put together to create Lenée’s quintessential statement piece. Christie was recently featured in Go Magazine, Americana Highways, Bluegrass Situation, Country Queer and Acoustic Guitar Magazine. With a new album in hand, she’s Coming Alive – right on time. “Watching Christie Lenée perform her solo acoustic act is like seeing a firecracker execute a high-wire circus routine while doing flips and juggling flaming bowling pins.” - Jimmy Leslie, Guitar Player Magazine “Christie Lenée is a wonderful spirit making beautiful music on the guitar. She has epic compositions that take one on a journey through time.” -Tim Reynolds, Guitarist for Dave Matthews Band “A female singer and guitarist who’s probably one of the more creative in terms of how she plays the guitar.” – Guitar Girl Magazine “Christie Lenée is a captivating and natural-born composer, performer, and guitar wizard.” – The Folk Project “By mixing fingerstyles, two-hand tapping, and improvised percussion, this acoustic virtuoso is extending the potential of the acoustic guitar.” – Guitar World “Watching Christie is like watching a master chef bring the best tasting ingredients to your lips!” - Ellis Paul, Folk Icon “Christie Lenée is a fine young guitar player, composer and singer whose depth is surprising in our age!” - Tommy Emmanuel, CGP “… One of the most shockingly moving interludes we’ve ever had. It was more than the fluid, neck-tapping virtuosity. She seemed to radiate joy. “ -Craig Havighurst, Music City Roots, Nashville, TN. – Full Article: http://musiccityroots.com/blog/british-invasion/ “The message in the music of Christie Lenée is crystal-clear and unambiguous. And that message is a celebration of life, love and joy.
