Connect mind and body. Take time to delve into the conceptual side of the movement world. Be led, by Nathan, through dance/movement exercises that allow you to express yourself freely in a non-judgmental space. You do not necessarily need to be a dancer, as the movement is up to you, just an open, inquisitive and creative human. These 1 hour sessions are for you to collaboratively engage in led movement based improvisation, with a mix of exercises, visualisation, concepts, meditation, choreography, games, and exploration. These 1 hour sessions vary each week in theme and structure, with new concepts and exercises introduced to excite your mind and body connection. As this is a new class, I am testing popularity, this class alternates by-weekly with the beginner dance class. Nathan Krifdom is a dance teacher, choreographer, and performer, currently teaching in Brighton. A year after graduating uni in Dance and Choreography, he launched his dance teaching business. Through his teaching he aims to connect people to their bodies in new ways, teach students to dance in a sustainable way; so their bodies stay healthy and happy for longer, bring new people into the exciting world of dance who may not have tried it before, and spark passion and joy in his students, as well as much more... Nathan is also an Advanced Lvl 3 Reiki practitioner, and has been working with Reiki for over six years. This training in healing and energy influences his dance practice and teaching, adding another level of understanding about the body and mind connection.
