All audience members must be seated while the performance is underway, unless ordering at the bar or using the toilets. When ordering at the bar, please whisper. · Entrance and exit is via the side door only; please wait outside at the door for ticket check and to be seated by the doorman. · You will probably have to share a table. You may not be able to sit together if the remaining chairs available are spread out. This rule is NOT optional. It is very distracting for both the performer and other audience members. Some performers (usually the host) might talk to the audience, but otherwise please let the comedians do the talking. Heckling does not ‘help the show’. Think of it like cinema rules: laughter, cheers, applause are all great, but talking or yelling out is not. And another cinema rule… · Please put your phone on silent. Photos are fine but please no video or flash photography. · If your chair is not facing the stage when you come in, please rotate it when the show starts. · These shows are for people aged 18 and over. You may be asked to show ID if you do not look of age. · Comedy Dundee does not necessarily agree or disagree with the opinions and viewpoints expressed by the comedians. Acts are booked based on their ability to make people laugh, beyond that we respect freedom of expression. If you disagree or are offended by what you hear, you are free to express this by not laughing, by leaving, or by respectfully raising your objections with the act after the show or via social media. You may not interrupt an on-going performance. · Audience members who repeatedly break these rules will be asked to leave. Information Source: Comedy Dundee | eventbrite

Workshop Overview: In this hands-on Collage Remix workshop, you’ll be encouraged to leave your expectations at the door and dive into a playful, intuitive creative process. Led by artist Jyll Mullen, you’ll explore the art of collage in a welcoming, judgment-free environment where experimentation is key. Forget about having a specific idea in mind—this workshop is all about discovering new possibilities through the materials around you. Jyll will guide you in exploring how to respond to the materials you find, from magazines and fabric to personal items, photographs, letters, and more. Whether you bring a work-in-progress or choose to work entirely with provided materials, you’ll learn how to create new, unique compositions by cutting, pasting, and layering different textures and images. Collage is an accessible and versatile art-making technique that invites you to mix paper, fabric, photographs, paint, and even three-dimensional elements to create something entirely fresh. This workshop is perfect for anyone looking to breathe new life into their existing art or simply explore the fascinating world of collage art. Instructor Background: Jyll Mullen, a seasoned collage artist, has spent years experimenting with the various mediums. With an interest in puzzles and a keen eye for detail she started collaging, combining pieces of her own artwork that she loved, but ones that never quite found a home. Through collage, Jyll discovered the magic of transformation—taking old, discarded art and giving it new meaning. She blends intention with intuition, thoughtfully pairing symbols and images, while also embracing the joy of serendipity in the creative process. Whether you're an experienced artist or a complete beginner, Jyll will help you explore new ways to bring discarded or incomplete artwork to life, and turn scraps and leftovers into cohesive compositions. https://www.jyllethiermullen.com Information Source: The Monastery | eventbrite

ROOTS: A 5RHYTHM LIVE WIRE RITUAL THEATRE LABwith Lorca Simons & Wyld LeeDelivering one’s self back to the artistic nature of the body.Sculpting spirit into shape,Writing soul into story,Dancing mind into the wind and tracing the heart home.REFLECT: The beauty of our practice from a theatrical prospective is having the opportunity to reflect life, absorbing every morsel of its offerings and gifting it back to the dance over and over again. RHYTHM: In living this practice as artists we embody the rhythms through every breath we take, through every offering we make. Each gesture an extension of our body, heart, mind, soul & spirit. RITUAL: As artists we manifest change offering ourselves and our stories from that Live Wire place inside our creative centre. REAL: Evoking a creative way of seeing and experiencing life from the artistic nature of the body. ROOTS: The electric landscape of unpredictable possibility that lives and breathes inside our bones. There is no place like home. Join us in this poetic landscape as we come together to nourish ourselves and each other, creating an ensemble rooted in aliveness, returning to wonder and recharging possibility. The 5Rhythms are an art form. Application and vision are one and the same from an artistic perspective, both evoking creative expansion which is at the root of our practice. The beauty of the 5Rhythms from a theatre perspective is, that we have the opportunity to mirror life, absorbing every morsel of its offerings and giving it all back to the dance over and over again. In living this practice we embody all the rhythms through every breath we take, through every offering we make. Each gesture being an extension from our body, heart, mind, soul and spirit. A poetic landscape of offering. A free fall, a footfall, a live response to what is happening in us, around us and universally. We as artists manifest change, offering ourselves and our stories from that deep live wire place inside each of us. A vulnerable electric landscape of unpredictable possibility that lives and breathes inside our bones helping others feel deeply, truthfully, with faith, humor, love and trust. We invite a creative way of experiencing life from the artistic nature of the body. Live Wire is an embodied ritual theatre investigation, grounded in the movement maps of 5Rhythms®, devoted to the shapeshifting nature of physical art, guided by the vision of Lorca Simons, Gabrielle Roth and artist Martha Peabody. Designed to inspire, refresh, re-set and connect. Our time will include movement, creative excavations, collective truth-telling and beauty-making.Join us on the glorious weekend of Summer Solstice June 20-22, 2025. This alternative form of photography takes advantage of the fragility of plant pigments under strong sunlight to create colorful impressions of foliage and flowers. What better time to try it than the longest and sunniest day of the year? While we work, we’ll discuss the science behind plant pigmentation and anthotype printing and become better acquainted with the ecologically vital species selected for our artworks. Take home your original anthotype plus a second canvas ready for future printing. Program GuidelinesRegistration is required.
