All registration and other questions: please email karensmithmsfg@gmail.com. Registration Cancellation by Participant—Carefully read the policy for each registration price on the checkout page. 3-Installment Payment Plan—This option is available for a limited time for select registrations. Carefully read the details on the checkout page. *Promo Codes cannot be applied with payment plan option. StrongFirst Bodyweight Strength Instructor CertificationSFB features the classic strength triad—a push, a pull, a squat. The one-arm pushup, the tactical pullup, the pistol. The bodyweight powerlifts. You will learn beginner to advanced progressions in the big three plus several other key exercises: The Push: One-Arm/One-Leg Pushup, Wall Supported Handstand PushupThe Pull: Tactical Pullup, Hard Style Hanging Leg Raise, Front LeverThe Squat: PistolOur goal is to make you come away from the StrongFirst Bodyweight Strength Instructor Certification stronger and wiser. You should be able to take a look at a great many strength feats and exercises—and quickly reverse-engineer them. You might not be able to do them yet—but you will know exactly how to train for them. With the millions of degrees of freedom possible for our bodies, it is an endless and pointless process to catalogue a multitude of exercises and their variations: giving you the fish and making you dependent to come back for more. Instead, we will teach you how to fish. Once you have internalized the universal principles of strength, you will be able to quickly apply them to any new strength or gymnastic skills. “The knowledge of some principles easily compensates for the ignorance of some facts.” This quote by philosopher Claude Helvétius appeared in the late Prof. Yuri Verkhoshansky’s last book. It perfectly sums what we do at the StrongFirst Bodyweight Strength Instructor Certification. Visit our StrongFirst Bodyweight Strength Instructor Certification page for more details. Read the Bodyweight Strength Instructor Certification requirements. STAY SHARP. STAY STRONGFIRST CERTIFIED. Take advantage of the Unified Recertification and renew your current instructor credentials—included with your registration. Testing will be completed during the weekend. Based on extensive audiovisual archive material – ranging from the first shows at local parties in the '60s to the recent and successful tours of Europe – LA DANZA DE LOS MIRLOS recounts the trajectory of one of the pioneering bands of the genre but, in addition, it traces a genealogy of tropical and popular music from an entire continent. Without ignoring the usual disputes between members, the eccentric adventures and the idolatry of an entire people, Álvaro Luque's documentary becomes as inexhaustible as the melody of the international cumbia anthem that gives it its name. Murals of La Jolla was conceived in 2010 to commission public art projects throughout La Jolla and to bring contemporary art into the community. An Art Advisory Committee, comprised of the heads of La Jolla's major visual arts organizations, invites an international roster of artists to create new artworks, all located on private property and privately funded. The program demonstrates that commissioning artists to create works for public spaces brings energy and vitality to a community. Over the past fourteen years, large-scale artworks have appeared in a variety of locations throughout the village of La Jolla, some prominently displayed while others are tucked away in more discreet locations. To date, new works by Amy Adler, Terry Allen, Eleanor Antin, John Baldessari, Math Bass, Mel Bochner, Mark Bradford, Kelsey Brookes, Sandra Cinto, Claudia Comte, Rosson Crow, Einar and Jamex de la Torre, Roman De Salvo, June Edmonds, Kota Ezawa, Gajin Fujita, Anya Gallaccio, Chitra Ganesh, Robert Ginder, Todd Gray, Raul Guerrero, Ann Hamilton, Steven Hull, Robert Irwin / Philipp Scholz Rittermann, Isaac Julien, Nina Katchadourian, Alex Katz, Byron Kim / Victoria Fu, Jean Lowe, Kim MacConnel, Heather Gwen Martin, Ryan McGinness, Roy McMakin, Michael Mercil, Beatriz Milhazes, Richard Allen Morris, Catherine Opie, Julian Opie, Marcos Ramirez ERRE, Gabriella Sanchez, Lorenzo Hurtado Segovia, Rex Southwick, Fred Tomaselli, Monique van Genderen, William Wegman, and Gail Werner have been installed throughout La Jolla.
