The 103rd Verona Amphitheatre Opera Festival will be held from June 12 to September 12, 2026, featuring 50 evenings of performances including operas, concerts, special events, and dances, all taking place in the iconic Roman amphitheater. In 2026, the Arena Opera House will present a range of classic operas, including both modern and classic productions, invigorating the theatre. The 103rd Arena Opera House Festival will open with Giuseppe Verdi's *La Traviata*, one of the world's most popular and frequently performed operas. A fresh emotion, the same magic: Violetta's story moves us once again with a brand-new production. Giuseppe Verdi's *Aida* also returns in two versions: Stefano Boda's bold, bright, and revolutionary "crystal" version, and Franco Zeffirelli's legendary version.

Renowned Chinese artist Wallace Chan will present a landmark bi-city exhibition, "Vessels of Other Worlds," in Venice and Shanghai in 2026. Coinciding with Chan's 70th birthday, the exhibition, his most ambitious work to date, will be held concurrently at the Basilica di Santa Maria della Misericórdia in Venice and the Long Museum (West Bund) in Shanghai. The exhibition, showcasing a series of monumental new titanium sculptures, comprehensively expands the spatial dimensions and conceptual boundaries of Chan's artistic practice.

A permanent exhibition dedicated to the great master Igor Mitoraj, whose bronzes and marbles enrich the halls of our headquarters in Venice. His art is distinguished by the use of fragmented human figures - serene faces, mutilated bodies - that evoke the fragility of the human condition, the passing of time and the wounds of history. Deeply inspired by Greek-Roman sculpture, Mitoraj interprets myth and antiquity with a contemporary vision, creating works charged with melancholic beauty and mystery. The 2026 Feast of the Saviour of Christ, held from July 18th to 19th, remains Venice's most authentic and deeply moving celebration. To commemorate the end of the Plague of 1576, a 330-meter-long temporary floating bridge connects to Giudecca Island. The lagoon will be ablaze with iconic fireworks, and a series of exciting traditional events will transform the city into a dazzling stage for cultural heritage. The Saturday night of Venice's Feast of the Saviour is renowned for its spectacular fireworks, but its true charm lies in the lively shared dining experience. As the sun sets, thousands of boats decorated with paper lanterns and flowers gather in St. Mark's Bay. It is estimated that by 2026, over 2,500 boats will be moored here, creating a city of lights on the water. The fireworks display begins around 11:30 pm and lasts for about 45 minutes. This fireworks display is widely recognized as one of the world's most technically challenging, its ingenious design reflecting off the water and illuminating the facades of surrounding historic buildings. Sunday is a day for quiet contemplation and traditional rowing races. Several rowing competitions are held on the Giudecca Canal, with local athletes competing in traditional Venetian sailing ships. As the second day of the festival, this day highlights Venice's close connection to the sea and its long-standing sporting traditions.
