Riders meeting at breakfast, then it's riding time. Saturday night, we'll have dinner, music, and raffles.Check the Facebook group's files for the routes.We've got tons of tent space, but parking's tight, so limited spots for campers, and the drive's narrow, so big rigs won't fit.We're hoping to make this an annual thing, can't wait to see you all!

Roughest and Toughest Brawl Fighter Registration Pickens SC is an upcoming event that will take place at The Market at the Mill in Pickens, South Carolina. This sanctioned amateur boxing tournament is open to local competitors who have no prior professional fighting experience. Participants will have the opportunity to showcase their skills and compete for cash prizes, as well as the title of the Roughest and Toughest Brawlers in the Pickens and surrounding areas.
The fights will take place on March 8-9th, 2024, starting at 8:00 PM each night. The tournament will follow a single elimination format, with fighters going head-to-head for three one-minute rounds. Divisions are available for Tough Men (18-45) in Middle Weight, Light Heavy Weight, and Heavy Weight categories, as well as Tough Women (18-45) in divisions to be determined.
All participants must present a valid Driver's license or Government-issued photo I.D. to participate. Fighters are required to live within a 75 mile radius of the venue to ensure fairness for all participants. Safety is a top priority, and all fighters will undergo a brief physicians exam and breathalyzer test before they are cleared to fight.
Please note that this is an amateur event, and no professional boxers, kick boxers, or MMA fighters are allowed to participate. Additionally, fighters are not allowed to consume alcohol or energy drinks for 24 hours prior to the event.
Fighters must arrive at 5:00 PM to complete paperwork and physicals before the fights begin at 8:00 PM. The promoter will provide mandatory safety equipment, including 16oz boxing gloves, headgear, and groin protection.
Tickets for the event are priced at $50, and there are no refunds due to the limited number of contestant registrations available. Just local guys and gals, slugging it out for 3 one minute rounds, competing for cash prizes, and the title of the Roughest and Toughest brawlers in the Pickens and surrounding areas. The fights will start at 8:00 PM on Friday night, each fighter will fight 1 match on Friday night, winners of their respective matches will advance to Saturday night. Join HCCC’s Windgate Curatorial Fellow Cydney Pickens and Houston-based artist Jamal Cyrus for an intimate conversation on "Tree of Life" at the Houston Center for Contemporary Craft. This exhibition showcases sculptural objects made from the African blackwood tree, a preferred material choice for ornamental turning, carving, and woodwind instruments due to its naturally dark, nearly black, colored core and unique properties.
Drawing on his perspective as an artist, community member, and African blackwood collector, Cyrus will share his insights on the exhibition and discuss the role museums play as a source of education and inspiration for artists. This program highlights contemporary curatorial practice while giving voice to the community as important contributors to HCCC’s programming.
Jamal Cyrus, a Houston native, is known for his expansive practice that incorporates collage and assemblage techniques. His work explores the evolution of African American identity within Black political movements and the African diaspora. With a keen eye for transforming mundane materials into objects with deep meaning, Cyrus brings rich networks of purpose to his art. Notably, he was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship in 2023 and received the Driskell Prize from the High Museum of Art in 2020.
