These pieces can either be simple and elegant or bold and dramatic. Another great gift idea that can be personalized for anyone on your holiday gifting list. You’ll learn proper annealing and forming techniques and an unconventional way to texture metal. You’ll finish with an introduction to flame painting to add unique one-of-a kind color to your pieces. This class is BIG fun! There is a supply kit fee made payable to the teacher day of class by cash or check. Please come prepared to pay this fee. Complete torch set up equipment and basic toolboxes will be available for use. Beginners with basic butane torch experience are welcome! This open studio does not offer formal scheduled instruction, but instructor, Christina will be present for questions/guidance. Students do not have to be present for the full 4 hr. time block and can drop in or leave at any time. You must, however, register no later than 24hrs prior to participate. Join our metalsmithing community at NW Rockhounds!!! We provide: Complete butane torch stations with necessary tools, pickle and neutralizer, basic toolbox with bench blocks, hammers, mallets, pliers, mitre vice and files.
