Date and timeJune 6, 2025 · 5pm - June 7, 2025 · 8pm PDT Location1000 Pine Avenue Long Beach, CA 90813 About this eventSeeding games will begin June 6th at 5:00pm and tournament play begin on Saturday morning, June 7th at 10:00am. When registering, choose between a 3 person team, or 3 person + 1 substitute team. Winners of each bracket will receive a cash prize of $100 per player. Divisions-Players under the age of 16 may play “up” into the varsity division, but players over the age of 15 must play in the varsity division, regardless of the ages of other players on the team. Tournament-All games held on Friday will be pool play, and will not count towards losses in the bracket. -The bracket play will begin on Saturday, and will be double elimination. -A team who loses once can still advance to the championship game. -The gym will open at 9:00 am on Saturday, with games beginning at 10:00 am. -The championship game will be single elimnation, with all the same rules applying Substitutes-Each team is allowed one substitute player, but it is not required that each team have a substitute. -Substitutes may only enter the game on a dead ball, and the referee must be notified of the substitution prior to the game resuming. Game Rules-Games will be played with 2 & 3 point values. -Games will be played half court. -If the possession changes inside of the three point line, the team that gains possession must take the ball outside of the three point line before scoring. Failure to do so will result in possession being given to the opposing team. -Games will be played to 21 points, and must be won by at least two points. If the score continues past 21 points, the first team to reach 25 points will win, regardless of the “win by 2” rule. -All high school foul and offensive rules will apply. -Once the team name is called, the team will have 5 minutes to have all of their players on the court. If they fail to arrive, their team will be forced to forfeit and take the loss. 3 Point Contest Rules-One player from each team may enter the three point contest. -Each participant will have 30 seconds to make more 3 point shots than their opponent. The winner will advance until the final two participants remain. -The final two participants will take 2 shots from 5 locations around the key. The participant with the most made baskets will be named the winner. -The participant’s teammates are allowed to rebound and pass basketballs back to the participant. Dunk Contest Rules-In order to participate, a participant must show a tournament official that they can dunk prior to the contest. -Three judges will judge the dunks based on difficulty and athletic ability. -Two contestants will go head to head, with the higher score advancing, until the winner is determined. -Each participant will have three attempts per round. If they fail to dunk on all three attempts, they are disqualified. Our runs are time-based, usually lasting around 45 minutes. We all start and finish together, running along the same path. Each participant can go at their own pace and choose the distance they feel comfortable with.
