The death and final days of Edgar Allan Poe remain one of literature’s great unsolved mysteries. This “macabre cabaret” uses music, movement, projections, and shadow play that leads an audience through the darkened catacombs of Poe’s last nightmare, encountering many of his most infamous creations as he draws ever closer to the Red Room. The Shylock Project is a group of multi-disciplinary artists from Central New York, who have performed original works at festivals in Montreal, Toronto, New York City, Philadelphia, Washington D.C. and (this summer!) in Edinburgh. They return to Auburn Public Theater after a several-year absence, having previously presented Kafka's Metamorphosis: The Musical!
