Verso. Tales from the Other Side | Fine Arts Museum Basel
Feb 1, 2025–Jan 4, 2026 (UTC+1)
Basel
The exhibition shines a light on the lives of artworks before they came to hang on museum walls, showing traces of their circulation in other contexts and their different functions. Find winged altarpieces, painted on both sides so that they could be displayed differently throughout the liturgical year, and coats of arms that were discretely attached to the backside of objects by their owners, or painted panels that had been simply turned over and reused. There’s even a double-sided advertising panel made by Ambrosius and Hans Holbein the Younger as well as paintings specially designed to be picked up and turned over. Verso thus offers new perspectives on artworks, not just by famous names such as Hans Baldung (also known as Grien), Lucas Cranach, and Konrad Witz, but also others that deserve a second look.
June Art Fair 2025 | Basel
Jun 16–Jun 22, 2025 (UTC+1)
Basel
This important satellite fair of Art Basel was founded by the gallery and has been held annually since 2019. It is located in a landmark concrete bunker converted into a gallery, just a stone's throw from the Basel exhibition hall Messeplatz, making it convenient for participants to visit during Basel Art Week. The Landhof community garden next to it provides a peaceful resting place, making it an alternative and unforgettable experience during the art week. Unlike large-scale exhibitions, it is moderately sized and prioritizes cross-generational participants, aiming to provide a more open participation experience, encouraging dialogue, cooperation and innovation among participants.

Sep 20, 2024–Aug 17, 2025 (UTC+1)
Basel
