Two Halves is returning the old-school charm of meeting over shared passions, where connections are made face-to-face. No more endless swiping or awkward drinks events, just genuine connections with real people. We're building a community of singles with shared interests. And after hosting some run events, we're pleased to offer a new event for those looking for a more leisurely pace! So how does it work: The walk starts at Little Oak Coffee (opposite Gospel Oak Overground station). You'll have the chance to grab a coffee and then we'll be walking through Hampstead Heath, finishing at Hampstead Heath station. During the walk, we'll be playing a game of bingo where you will be required to match people's achievements and characteristics to a bingo card for a grand prize! After the walk, we'll head to a pub nearby for drinks. After the event, we'll send out a form allowing you to share contact details with anyone who wants to share theirs. This avoids the awkward bit of not knowing whether to ask! It's all about making connections in a relaxed and enjoyable environment while staying active. Join us for a talk with sculptor Phil Neal, as he charts his eclectic and unusual career journey. From facial prosthetics to Formula 1, to monster-making for Doctor Who, Phil’s career proves that there is no one way to get where you want to go. Now a freelance sculptor working from the Harley Studios, Phil draws on his diverse experiences to create innovative sculptures, memorials, musical instruments and more. Accompanied by a slideshow and sample creations, this talk will offer insights into how Phil has transferred and applied his varied skills to art, with plenty of time for your burning questions! On arrival, please park in the main car park and check in for the talk at the Portland Collection Museum, where you will be given directions to walk to our Education Studio. It is an easy 5-minute walk, but if you have any accessibility requirements please get in touch before booking. Phil NealPhil Neal is a sculptor, specialising in modelling, moulding and casting. He originally trained in prosthetics at Guys Hospital & Queen Mary’s Roehampton and has also worked in engineering. Phil is passionate about art education. Sgioba Ealain is an inclusive space for all Gaelic-speaking kids from p3-p7 to learn about the world of art, historical and contemporary, through play, crafting, and obviously, the Gaelic language! Led by artist Choirstaidh NicArtair (choirstaidhiona.jpeg), our classes are full of laughter, trial and error, and DIY spirit. Our focus is always on the creation and exploration of projects, never perfection. In our last pre-Summer blocks at Glendale Gaelic School and The Hidden Gardens, we produced zines, pretend stained glass windows, animation toys, cyanotype prints, badges, collages, and more.
