Nikki Gonnissen and Thomas Widdershoven are co-founders and creative directors of Thonik, a multidisciplinary design studio based in Amsterdam. Through strong visual identities for clients such as the broadcast corporation VPRO, Holland Festival, Museum and Depot Boijmans Van Beuningen in Rotterdam, the Power Station of Art in Shanghai, and M+ Museum for Visual Culture Hong Kong, Thonik connects important public institutions with a new, younger, and more diverse audience. Beyond their work at Thonik, Nikki and Thomas have each played active roles in the design field. Nikki regularly lectures at international events, focusing on inclusion, diversity, and the empowering potential of design. She also served as International President of the Alliance Graphique Internationale, leading conferences in Seoul, Mexico, and Paris on the value of design in a rapidly changing society. It is said that he has encrypted a blueprint of the device inside the machine. In order to stop this mad scientist you must sneak into the hospital, break into his lab, find the blueprints, shut down the machine and escape with the final component before his test is scheduled to commence... This season she will sing Giovanna in Verdi’s Rigoletto and will cover the role of Prince Orlofsky in Strauss’ Die Fledermaus. Previously with INO, Leanne sang the role of the Notary in Donizetti’s Don Pasquale, Noble Orphan 3 in Strauss’ Der Rosenkavalier and A Slave in Strauss’ Salome. In 2024, Leanne sang the role of Maeve Shine in Opera Workshop Limerick’s production of The Ballybruff Triology, a new contemporary opera collection by Luke Byrne, composer, and Shirley Keane, librettist. Previously Leanne performed with Sestina for Opera Collective Ireland’s production of Handel’s Semele which won the Irish Times Theatre Award for Best Opera in 2022. Leanne was Company Artist with Cork Opera House in 2018 and sang the role of Pitti-Sing in their production of Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Mikado.Leanne is a keen ensemble singer both in Ireland and abroad. From 2017 – 2022, Leanne was a regular member of Ireland’s flagship choral group Chamber Choir Ireland conducted by Paul Hillier. While we spend a significant amount of time training in bright sunlight, we tend to overlook the importance of being prepared for dark environments where light sources are limited. In this installment of Primary Handgun, participants will learn how to conquer the challenges posed by low light conditions. Our expert instructors will cover a range of topics including firearm safety fundamentals, developing a performance-driven mindset, and essential performance shooting skills. Understanding the relationship between white light sources and human vision is crucial, as is mastering handheld lighting techniques and the limitations of weapon-mounted lights. Additionally, participants will delve into the concept of photonic obstructions and receive a refresher on one-handed shooting fundamentals. To attend this enlightening course, students must come prepared with a minimum of 300 rounds of pistol ammunition and a quality functional pistol (back up pistol recommended). Other essentials include a holster (no cross draw or shoulder rigs), eye and ear protection (preferably electronic), and 3-5 working magazines for double-stacked pistols (5-10 for single stacks). Students should also bring a way to carry magazines on their person, a hand-held white light source, extra batteries, and a low-powered admin light (optional).
