THDA 2025 Train the Trainer for Housing Educators & Counselors | Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville (Not ReStore)
This course is required for organizations interested in joining the THDA Housing Education & Counseling Network to receive homebuyer education funds. This is a 3-day training designed to prepare Housing Counselors & Educators to facilitate housing education classes and counseling sessions, while using any of THDA’s approved curriculums. It is recommended that you have prior knowledge of the HUD Housing Counseing exam material before attending. features ambitious production, sophisticated
harmonic structures

themes. It is widely regarded as among the greatest and most influential albums in music history.
The audio menu has thrown down a real challenge for Colin as the halcyon days of Hi-Fi were still some years in the future, stereo was in it’s infancy in 66 and the Japanese invasion of the audio market was only just beginning – back then the vast majority of people listened on a standalone (Dansette style) record player or a radiogram!
For this event we bring a 1966 Garrard LAB 80 Turntable and a 1965 Sony 1120 amplifier (the first 100w all silicon amplifier from Japan), at the time this was science fiction territory in technology and power, the sheer cost of these two items in todays money would be circa £3000 plus!
The event starts at 7.30pm, after Colin’s audio introduction Graham Chalmers presents a historical profile of the of the artists then we drop the needle and enjoy the album in full on the amazing vintage system along with a video/slide show, time allowing a few bonus tracks to boot! Our usual raffle of course, every penny goes to Harrogate Hospital Community Charity for our SCBU project.

Parking and Directions:
Frist Art Museum parking is accessible from Demonbreun Street, between Ninth and Tenth Avenues. The Guest Lot is adjacent to the south side of the building, with the entrance kiosk located near Demonbreun Street. The Frist will provide a validation coupon for the Frist parking lot only when you check in at the auditorium door.
There are accessible parking spaces in the northeast corner of the lot, with a barrier-free crosswalk and entry into the Turner Courtyard at the entrance marked with an accessibility sign.
If you
do
find the Frist lots full, there is a parking lot on Tenth Avenue directly across the street from Cummins Station. There is also parking available in the Gateway Parking Lot behind Union Station, accessible from an entrance just past The Finch restaurant on Tenth Avenue.

10th Annual 70 Series Land Cruiser Meet & Greet at Windrock Park | Windrock Park Trail Head
REGISTRATION OPENS JULY 10, 2025
This event is in its 10th year and is the oldest and longest running event focused on a series of Toyota’s flagship model that has never been officially sold in the USA. The event dates are September 11 - 14 with the 11th being a travel day to the area and the 14th being travel home. We will have "organized" rides on Friday and Saturday September 12 and 13.
** Although this is billed as a 70 Series event, all Land Cruisers are welcomed.
For the third year in a row, we are dedicating this event to the ALS Association. This year, sadly, it is in memory of one of the founders of this event: Peter E. Brown. We will have rides ranging from scenic easy trails to as hard as you want(these ratings are assuming dry weather difficulties increase significantly with liquid sunshine). As with last year's iteration, being a member of the TLCA will be required (drivers only) and your evening meals for Thursday - Saturday will be included in the price. Host club will be cooking on Thursday and Friday, we will have catered BBQ on Saturday night.To be perfectly clear, ALL PROCEEDS beyond what is required to cover costs will be donated to the
ALS Association
in the name of one of the organizers. This year we have a significant list of sponsors (see below).
BREAKDOWN OF COST:
$110.00 per vehicle (includes driver and one passenger)…. This fee will be reduced by $10.00 for early registration.
$35.00 per passenger (16 years of age or older).
15 years of age and under are free.

Family Oval Tray Workshop - Creative Jesmonite Class w/ Objectify for Kids | Dacre and Hartwith Village Hall
WHAT ARE WE GOING TO BE DOING?
Team up with your child to create an oval trinket tray, mini dish & mini pot in your own colour choices and unique design. Ages 7+ recommended, but if you have a younger child who you think would be able to participate with you please get in touch and we can discuss :) additional tickets for child single spots are available, if parents would like to do the workshop with more than one child.
In this 2-hour workshop you will be taught step by step, with demo’s how to create a Jesmonite Oval Trinket Tray using Terrazzo, Marbling & Block Colour techniques.
All materials for each process are provided so you don't have to bring anything other than yourself & potentially an apron/large shirt if you want to keep your clothes clean - Jesmonite washes out in the washing machine but it can be a messy process & if you have plans after the workshop you may want to avoid the temporary marks! Best of all, because Jesmonite is quick to set, you will be able to take your creations home with you at the end of the workshop!

WHAT IS JESMONITE?
Jesmonite is a non-toxic, eco-friendly, water-based resin used to create many kinds of decorative homeware, art, furniture & more! It comes as a two part separated mix of powder & liquid which at 1-2.5 ratio is mixed together to form a milky mixture. Naturally Jesmonite has an off white colour to it, so coloured pigments are used to give tone & hue to the mixture which is then poured into silicone moulds, where it cures & becomes a beautifully, unique item!

Cancellations up to 28 days before the event:
I will refund the ticket price, minus the Eventbrite fee (approx. 11% of the ticket price), or will transfer your booking to a future event, if available.
Cancellations between 27 and 14 days before the event:
I will refund half the ticket price, minus the Eventbrite fee (approx. 11% of the ticket price), or will transfer your booking to a future event, if available.
Cancellations less than 14 days before the event:
no refund or transfer.
Note:
I’m a small business owner whose income depends entirely on workshops and markets. My events are small-scale and my costs and time invested remain the same whether the workshop is full or not. I always advertise my events with plenty of time to promote and sell tickets – and tickets tend to sell in the first week of publication.
I want try to strike a balance between being fair to participants, and not selling myself short or ending up making a financial loss. That’s why I don’t refund tickets within 14 days of an event, as it’s very unlikely I will be able to resell the ticket at short notice. Thank you for your understanding and for supporting small businesses.
