We gift creative journals to young patients on every continent and help bring their greatest ideas to life. While we are in New Zealand, Germany, Uganda, and much more, we hope to continue to grow rapidly. I've got a terrible feeling about this show. Like somehow the whole thing is doomed. I have this recurring dream where I'm on stage, thousands of miles from home and the crowd has turned on me. There are thousands of them and they are all booing me and Sofia Vergara (from Modern Family) is there and so is Simon Cowell and he’s slamming his fist into a red buzzer and the sound splits the air like a gunshot and the ceiling rips open and confetti rains down like debris but the booing only gets louder and louder and louder and louder and then I wake up, and realise that all of that actually happened to me. This show has nothing to do with that story. I doubt I'll even mention it. Taking place in the North Garden Theater of the Occidental Arts and Ecology Center, the Chautauqua Revue is a variety show inspired by vaudeville, circus, traditional Chautauquas, and story-telling. From poignant monologues to full-throated sing-a-longs, the Revue is a feast for ear, eye, heart, and spirit. Come join us under the stars for another original and surprising edition of the Chautauqua Revue. Evening shows are about 2 1/2 hours long with a single intermission. There will be refreshments and snacks for sale.
While children are welcome at the evening shows, you might also consider coming to our Family Matinee on Saturday the 6th at 2 pm. This is a one-set show featuring acts from the evening show that will appeal to young and old alike.

This in one of our bi-monthly events with a Feature Artist and 8 open mic spots.
Mother Tongue is a place for Passionate, Powerful, Vulnerable and Honest performance; it stands aside from most Spoken Word events in its depth and authenticity. For those who don't know; Mother Tongue is an intimate, warm and cozy night of Women's Spoken Word (poetry, stories, songs, etc). It is a space to sit back and listen, receive, as well as step up and share a piece yourself via the open mic. It is a place to witness Woman in all of her/their incredible and nuanced facets. All genders are welcome in the audience. Our open mic stage is open to Cis women, Trans Women, Non-binary and gender-fluid people who feel woman is an identity they share an experience with.

Her performances are an intimate journey into the depths of devotion, desire, and belonging, creating a profound connection with her audience. Bringing a mystical, powerful energy to the stage, Sevgi invites listeners to explore the sacred spaces of emotion and identity. Recently emerging onto the poetry scene, she is passionately discovering the transformative power of live performance, leaving an indelible mark on those who experience her art.

Introduction to Shieldbugs and Leatherbugs | Tyland Barn
Shieldbugs and leatherbugs represent a small group of often very attractive insects all of which, with a little knowledge, are readily identifiable in the field.
This course will provide an introduction to the many species of shieldbugs and leatherbugs to be found in the UK. Topics covered will include the external morphology of bugs, their ecology and life cycles and a guide to finding and identifying them.
After lunch we shall search for and identify the several species of shieldbugs and leatherbugs that occur in the grounds of Tyland Barn.
By the end of the session it is expected that you will be able to:
Identify common shieldbugs & leatherbugs
Understand more about their lifecycles
Led by Gill and John Brook, Naturalists
Suitable for beginners and improvers
This study day may also provide the opportunity for those interested in furthering their study of shieldbugs and leatherbugs to become involved as recorders for the Atlas of Shieldbugs & allies of Kent.
