Halftime for Heart is a fundraising event designed to raise awareness about the importance of heart health while honoring the legacy of Jackson-Reed alumni, Coach Chris Cheeks, a dedicated mentor and advocate for minority youth. Proceeds will support two causes: a scholarship for a graduating Jackson-Reed varsity boy’s basketball senior attending college in 2025, and a donation to the Black Heart Association (BHA), a nonprofit focused on health equity. In addition to a donation, we invite you to join us at the Jackson-Reed High School's Boys' Varsity basketball game against Cardoza High School on January 22, 2025 at 7:30 pm, where you can learn about heart health, get a free heart screening, and support your team of choice during our Halftime for Heart “halftime” basketball challenge!
