The 2026 Loris Stew Festival, held on October 17th, is an annual event sponsored by the Loris Chamber of Commerce since 1980, attracting audiences from across the state. The event features a chicken bog cooking competition, live entertainment, craft stalls, and much more! Chicken bog is a lowland dish made primarily with rice, chicken, onions, sausage, and a blend of spices. Over the years, many different versions have been developed, and the "Bog-Off" event is the perfect opportunity to sample this delicious dish.

The Dickens Christmas Show and Festival is a unique, nationally award-winning event offering a multitude of shopping and entertainment options for individuals and groups. The event's cornerstone is the Victorian Holiday Market, held in a 100,800-square-foot exhibition hall at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. Against a Victorian holiday backdrop, visitors will see over 350 vendors dressed in period costumes selling a wide variety of goods, from jewelry, crafts, gifts, toys, artwork, food, holiday decorations, and more. Everyone can find a holiday gift to suit their taste, but the fun doesn't stop there! Stroll through Victorian musicians, tea reciters, punch and Judy shows, shadow box displays, a life-size Santa Claus exhibit, and even a real Santa Claus, each adding a unique charm to the show. Exquisitely crafted holiday displays, including Christmas trees, tables, wreaths, worlds, and stockings, add color to the experience.
