She has, however, enjoyed caring for pet goats since the eighties. Over time, she has had the opportunity to help at-risk, displaced and mistreated goats find safe, happy homes. For Michelle, the well-being of goats always comes first. As highly intelligent, curious, and social animals, Michelle's kids enjoy traveling to goat-friendly locations to experience the world outside of their barnyard. Their sense of adventure inspires them to hop into their “barn on wheels” and go for a ride where they arrive and thrive from interacting with diverse people, places & things. The stimulation of new sites, sounds, smells, textures, and tastes, enhances their mood, as well as those who they encounter along the way! Only the goats who wish to go on adventures attend Hello Critter events. Standing at the gate, when they are called, is their way of expressing their desire to join the fun, whether it be a yoga session, sound bath, hike, river walk, play date, creative workshop, or a senior community/school visit. The goats who choose to stay behind, enjoy relaxing, playing & eating around their goat yard complete with a custom clubhouse built for their enrichment. All of our goats (Roscoe, Floyd, Billy, Burlap, Fanny, Lil'bit, Gigi, Felix, Hansel, Gretel, Goldie, Lexie, Lashes & Patches ) are highly valued, sentient beings. Combining elements of screen printing and offset lithography, the Risograph utilizes vibrant soy-based inks to produce striking and unique prints. Whether you prefer bold designs, illustrations, experimental photographs, posters, zines, independent publications, or drawings, the Risograph is a fantastic tool to bring your artistic vision to life. Under the guidance of instructor Mich Miller, students will explore the process of creating riso prints by incorporating both hand-drawn and printed materials. Just in time for Halloween, you'll have the chance to craft beautiful and eerie prints that capture the spirit of the season. Embrace the charming imperfections and mis-registrations that add character and depth to each edition, as these are the very qualities that make riso prints so highly regarded by artists and designers. All necessary supplies are included in the price of the workshop, making it easy for participants to dive into the world of riso printing. Don't miss this opportunity to learn and create in a supportive and inspiring environment. Register now and secure your spot for the Riso Horror Halloween Night at the Armory Center For the Arts in Pasadena on October 27, 2023.
