A giggly grungy show at Art House! 1st set, music from Ottawa-beloved indie grunge band, PHASEZ. 2nd set, standup from Maggie May Harder, comedian with 20+ sold out shows since 2022. Bios Maggie May Harder: Maggie May Harder (they/them) is a comedian, event producer, graphic designer, and mayor of Ottawa dykes. Watching Maggie do comedy is like watching Moo Deng if she could do observational humour. Maggie is the co-creator of Small Fish, a comedy and variety show by and for marginalized folks that has sold out 18X, including a sold out NYE show at The Mayfair Theatre (325 seats). They also run sold-out lesbian events in the city ( Peach Jam , and Fruit Cake ), and co-produce/write/perform in local theatre, ( Always Because: The Adventures of Maggie and Meghan , and Campfire Cabaret ). They can’t wait to dazzle and crop dust audiences everywhere they go! PHASEZ: Phasez makes music to share and stamp his experiences in life, as he enters and exits various "Phasez" of life. His songwriting is reflective of his own morals and beliefs that he melds into his music, mainly regarding issues that feel beyond our control and that are unexplainable. His sound is reflective of his childhood influences of various artists such as Depeche Mode, Talking Heads, and many other New Wave/Synth Pop artists from the 80s. Touching his Brazilian side, he creates Latin inspired beats to add to his songs, wtih some of the brightness he associates with Jorge Ben and other Brazilian artists he grew up with. Also with many more recent influences such as The Strokes, White Lies and Hers. No phase will be the same but ultimately all music is best associated with our memories. He hopes to be able to look back later on in life at who he once was. Hopefully nothing will feel like a mistake and have its own purpose for listeners to make their own connections to. TRAPT Description TRAPT, Top Rock Adult Performance Troupe, is a performance and training program for adults 18+ years of age. Our troupe is designed to help individuals to grow in their performance efforts. We have 3 divisions of our team, Elite, Exhibition and Training troupe members. Each division of our troupe trains together for 36 weeks a year. Our training involves technique, dance and performance classes in all different styles including but not exclusive to, jazz, tap, hip hop, musical theatre, acting, heels, contemporary, lyrical, ballet and more.
