This workshop requires tickets. There are two options. One admits you to the workshop, and the other includes a copy of THE STARLETS. The ticket option that includes the book offers excellent value, as the author will personally sign this book, as well as any additional books purchased at The Doylestown Bookshop during the workshop evening. COWRITING: A Yes And Approach to Collaboration and Creativity Have you ever been curious about cowriting, or creative collaboration in general? My collaborations are some of my most rewarding career experiences, but I'll admit, at first I was hesitant: what if my partner and I disagree? What if we work differently? Are two heads really better than one? In this workshop, we'll discuss how being open to team play can elevate your writing game generally, as well as bring joy and nuance to how you approach relationships and the world. Plan for exercises and discussion about fiction writing, improv, and positive psychology. Bring a novel or story concept you’ve been tinkering with but that isn’t quite working yet, and open yourself up to the benefits of the collaborative brainstorm. About our Guest: Lee Kelly is the author of City of Savages, a Publishers Weekly “Best of Spring 2015” pick and a VOYA Magazine “Perfect Ten” selection, A Criminal Magic, which was optioned and developed for a television series by Warner Bros., The Antiquity Affair, co-written with Jennifer Thorne (Summer 2023), With Regrets (Fall 2023) and The Starlets (forthcoming from Harper Muse, Fall 2024).
