A highly regarded artist, Anderson has exhibited extensively at prestigious venues such as the Chicago Cultural Center, Hyde Park Art Center, and the International Museum of Ceramics in Italy. Her work has garnered recognition from numerous publications including the New York Times, Sculpture Magazine, and American Craft Magazine. With an MFA from Stony Brook University and a BFA from Drake University, Anderson also serves as an Assistant Professor in the Art and Design Department at Harper College. During this class, participants will delve deeper into the concepts covered in Urban Landscapes in Watercolor I, allowing them to further develop their skills in watercolor techniques. From graded watercolor washing to wet-on-wet painting techniques and dry brushing, this workshop provides a comprehensive exploration of these methods.
To fully participate, attendees are encouraged to bring their own class materials, including a small watercolor notebook with quality paper, a watercolor half pan paint set with primary and secondary colors, and brushes in various sizes. Other recommended materials include a pencil, waterproof Aquash Brush or Micron pen, kneaded eraser, container for water, tote bag or backpack, and a camp stool or folding chair for sitting.
