Sketchbook Club for grown ups at Kiln Workshop Who needs some creativity for creativity's sake? Join Colourful Minds and friends for some creative play at Sketchbook Club every month at Kiln Workshop. Each month we'll explore a material and technique to fill up your sketchbook in new ways. Stitch Club at Kiln Workshop Join Laura and Alli at Kiln Workshop for the inaugural Stitch Club. Learn some new stitches, sew, swap hoops, meet people and chat - all abilities welcome! Each Stitch Club we will learn a new stitch or technique and have a Stitch Swap. We aim to meet every two weeks or once a month, something we will decide at this first meeting. What we will provide: - 8-inch embroidery hoop - needles - thread and - scissors - fabric for your first hoop What you can bring: Any of the above if you have them. Teas, soft drinks and nibbles are provided. About Laura: @colourful_minds_kids runs creative workshops in schools, venues and events in Bristol and the South West. About Alli: @theemptyoxobox has worked in secondary education and is a committee member of Bristol Stitchers. About Stitch Swap: We met and connected through embroidery, and both share a love of colour, playfulness and experimenting with stitches, materials and techniques. Disability Inclusion Training is designed to increase confidence, competence, and knowledge to deliver fun and inclusive activities for all abilities and needs. The workshop explores both disability-focused delivery and being inclusive of disabled people within your existing sport sessions. What will I learn? Disability Inclusion Training covers: The importance of disability inclusivity through a sport and physical activity lensBarriers and challenges for disabled people in accessing traditionally provided sport and physical activityIntroduction to various disabilities, impairment groups and long-term health conditions – including physical disabilities; learning disabilities and difficulties; visual impairments; hearing impairments and other non-visible disabilitiesPractical skills, tools and ideas to adapt and develop inclusive practice in your own environmentWhat can I expect?
