Milwaukee
Cultural Experiences
Boswell presents a ticketed event with #1 New York Times bestselling novelist Maggie Stiefvater. She appears with her dazzling new novel, The Listeners . Stiefvater's first novel for adults paints a mesmerizing portrait of an irresistible heroine, an unlikely romance, and a hotel-and a world-in peril. Tickets for this event cost $30 plus tax and ticket fee, and each ticket includes admission for one person and one copy of The Listeners . No returns within one week of the event date. This sweeping page-turner, set in Appalachia in 1942, when America was just going to war, draws from deep research about the luxury hotels that hosted enemy diplomats during WWII. A haunting tale of loyalty and courage, The Listeners is a fascinating glimpse into the horrors of history. From author Claire Lomardo: " The Listeners is cinematic and so very satisfying. This is a rich, multilayered ride of a novel not unlike the hotel at its heart—grand, patient, leaving no particulars unnoticed. A phenomenally immersive read."
