BirdFest And Bluegrass 2025 | Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge
BirdFest And Bluegrass is an event held the first full weekend of October. The event will in Ridgefield, WA, USA. This event showcases the wildlife refuge that makes Ridgefield what it is, and the endangered species that rely on it. Set in the crumbling Spanish missions of 19th century Baja California, this mythic novel in linked stories follows two grief-stricken people as haunted as the desolate chapels around them: a priest who caused the drowning of a native boy by compelling him to fish for pearls, and a deaf woman trying to outrun her murderous reputation as a pistolera. Though the stories span landscapes, villages, characters, and decades, the heart of the novel is Baja California itself—a stark land of cactus and creosote, of russet canyons and splintered wastes of rock—where people living in the shadow of ruined missions seek redemption on an inhospitable peninsula forsaken even by its priests. A. Muia is the winner of the 2024 Flannery O'Connor Award for Short Fiction for her novel A Desert Between Two Seas, published with the University of Georgia Press. Her stories and articles have appeared in The Baltimore Review, The Beloit Fiction Journal, Chicago Review, Image Journal, Water~Stone Review, West Branch, AWP's The Writer's Chronicle, and other journals. Our headphones are completely compatible with standard hearing aids, however if the hearing aids are designed to amplify in the range of 70hz-8500hz, the headphones are unlikely to be compatible. This would potentially cause them distortion and across the board for all Silent disco Equipment. 10. Is food/drink available for purchase at your events? We offer a fully stocked bar at all of our events. Food vendors are only available at outdoor events. 11. Is there a dress code? There is no strict dress code for the event. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and shoes. However, if the event is being held in a cathedral, we kindly ask that you refrain from wearing high heels as they may cause damage to the cathedral flooring. You may not be allowed entry if you are wearing stilettos or high heeled shoes that can damage historic flooring of venues. 12. How can I contact you if I have further questions? Sydney Town Hall Organ Recital - One Man Orchestra | Sydney Town Hall
Can one person make all the sounds of the orchestra? That’s what organist Titus Grenyer sets out to do with this symphonic recital on the Grand Organ. Titus Grenyer is an accomplished organist, conductor, composer and teacher. He's currently the manager of the organ and carillon at the University of Sydney, director of music at Our Lady of Dolours Church in Chatswood and the creator of Australia's largest organ Youtube channel, Pep Organ. Titus produces the City of Sydney’s annual organ recital program at Sydney Town Hall. He is excited to bring accessible and deeply musical performances to the city. He is a graduate of DePaul University College of Law. He spent more than twenty years as a prosecuting attorney, both as a state court prosecutor and a federal prosecutor, specializing in firearms, explosives, and arson cases. Karmgard also spent twelve years as an attorney advisor for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives in Chicago, St. Paul, and Phoenix Field Divisions. He has three adult children and currently lives with his wife and dog in Bellingham, Washington.
