Join us for a fun-filled day of friendly competition and outdoor excitement. Whether you're a seasoned pro or new to the game, this event is perfect for players of all levels. Bring your family and friends to cheer you on as you aim to become the Kubb champion of North Carolina! Don't miss out on this opportunity to connect with fellow Kubb enthusiasts and enjoy a day of sun, strategy, and sportsmanship. Mark your calendars and start practicing your throws - we can't wait to see you at the 2025 North Carolina Kubb Championship! Teams of 2 - 6 players per team. $45 per team. Check in/ Practice begins at 7:30 AM and play starts at 9:00 AM. We will be using the U.S. National Kubb Championship® Ruleset with the exception of four rules: -Minimum 2 players, no player may throw more than 3 batons per round. -The Neighbor Rule which can be found in the Kubb United Rules for Open Play. -Verticle rotation of the baton CANNOT exceed 45 degrees or it is considered an illegal throw and the baton will be forfeited for that turn. -Once all field Kubbs are raised the offensive team may choose to remove the center pin while throwing batons. NOTE: All pins must be replaced after the turn is over. There will be 7 qualifying rounds of single games, each having a 25 minute time limit using the Tournament Director tournament management software. After qualification rounds, the top 8 teams will be seeded in the Championship Bracket, the next 24 teams (9-32) will be seeded in the Silver bracket.
