Don't miss out on the thrilling experience of a Group Night Ride with River City Bicycles at Sandy Ridge Trail System in Sandy, Oregon. This exciting event, happening on October 28, 2023, is perfect for both beginners and intermediate riders. Join River City Bicycles as they team up with NWTA to explore the dark woods in an exhilarating night ride. Don't let the idea of riding at night scare you away! It's actually much more manageable than it may sound. This Halloween weekend, conquer your fears and light up the trails. The ride will be split into two groups: Beginners and Intermediates. The Beginner route will cover approximately 5 miles with an elevation gain of around 1000 feet. For those looking for a bit more challenge, the Intermediate route will cover roughly 10 miles with an elevation gain of about 2000 feet. Both routes are expected to take around two hours to complete. The ride is open to all genders and will be led by knowledgeable women from River City Bicycles. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, participants are advised to bring 2-3 helmet- or handlebar-mounted lights. Additionally, feel free to bring any glow-in-the-dark or light-up costumes for yourself or your bike. Please make sure everything is securely fastened to prevent any trail littering. The adventure begins at the Sandy Ridge Trailhead Parking Lot. Be there at 4:30pm to get ready and roll out by 5:00pm.
