Cross Pollination: Cross City Experiences | Printmaking for All Ages is a two-part workshop that takes place at two different locations in Raleigh. The first part of the workshop will be held at Raleigh City Farm on Saturday, September 23. Participants will have the opportunity to see the farm from an artist's perspective and explore the vibrant colors and beauty of the ecosystem. They will also get to make drawings outside and prepare a printing plate. A unique aspect of this workshop is the chance to create hand rubbed prints using the artist's hand carved woodblocks at the farm. The second part of the workshop will take place at Artspace on Saturday, September 30. Here, participants will have the opportunity to make art alongside artists' studios and be inspired by the creativity found in Artspace. They will create a series of prints using colored inks and handmade papers. The workshop will culminate in a Pop Up exhibition of the participants' work at Artspace through First Friday in October.
