Smith and Sniff live at The Mallory Hall, Eastbourne. Jonny and Richard fancied a trip to the south coast and what better time to do it than February. The location for this live recording is The Mallory Hall within The Welcome Building in Eastbourne. As ever with a Smith and Sniff live show, there'll be an hour-long recording, a break of half an hour, and then another hour of answering audience questions. Jonny and Richard will be milling around during the break and after the show so if you're desperate for one of them to sign the owners' manual for your 1998 Toyota Picnic this could be your chance. Every first Wednesday and first Saturday of the month at Tutts Barn Studio, Tutts Barn Lane, Eastbourne, BN22 8XP Looking to try and squeeze in more time to do something creative? Come be inspired by everyday day objects! Working from a different still-life arrangement each month, styled to be filled with interesting shapes and textures, you will learn mark-making and drawing techniques, have fun in a friendly and relaxed environment experimenting with different mediums all while improving your observation skills. I'll be in hand to offer gentle guidance if needed and help you create an amazing piece of artwork. Unsure about your artistic abilities? Whether you are a complete beginner looking to try something new, looking to do something mindful and get into a creative flow or an artist trying to find more time for your creative practice, join my warm and welcoming still life art sessions. No experience is necessary I believe anyone can draw, and anyone can create. These sessions will help you build confidence and learn new skills. What's included? A selection of art materials and different papers are included. But please feel free to bring your sketchbook and whatever medium you enjoy working with if you prefer. Refreshments are available. Echoes of a Journey is coming to Eastbourne after a sold-out premiere in London! *** About the show Echoes of a Journey is an intimate live music and dance performance created and interpreted by Miltos Boumis (Cretan laouto) & Yanaëlle Ritter (contemporary dance) *** Having left their home countries to move to the UK over a decade ago, Miltos and Yanaëlle revisit the emotional ups and downs of that journey in their first collaboration, Echoes of a Journey. This experimental piece follows the highs and lows of starting a new life abroad, capturing the various phases one might experience along the way. The music, a blend of original compositions and traditional Greek melodies, is performed live on stage. In response, the choreography reflects the dancer's wanderings through the rich layers of sound—sometimes adventurous and exploratory, other times settling into sculptural stillness. This open dialogue between music and movement creates a deeply immersive experience.
