Sigma Sports is happy to announce the reintroduction of our winter mechanic courses, to be held at our Hampton Wick store. The cost of the course is £125. Each session will take place between 9:15am and 4:30pm with a 30 minute lunch window. During this course, our mechanic will guide you through everything you need to know about building the confidence to perform minor repairs at home and address roadside mechanicals that you may encounter. The purpose of this course is for the participant to develop the skills and learn how to use the tools needed to make these types of repairs. Where possible, we aim to use tools that you can purchase yourself in-store and avoid relying on workshop tooling that can cost hundreds of pounds. Refund policy: If you are unable to make the event you will be entitled to a full refund up to 14 before the event. A 50% refund will be given to those who cancel 3-7 days before the event. The Little League 1-Day Outreach Clinic will be led by members of the Little League National Instructor Team and seeks to help umpires of all experience levels, especially those at the grassroots levels, learn the fundaments of umpiring Little League Baseball and Softball. This clinic is open to umpires of all ages, skill levels, and experience levels. Hands-on, engaging, and interactive instruction will focus on teaching the basics of umpire in Little League to encourage and equip umpires for the season by focusing on the following topics: · The Role of the Little League Umpire · The Basics of Working the Plate - 3 Steps to Calling Balls & Strikes · Basic Field Mechanics and Positioning - Knowing Where & When to Stand · Working the 2-Umpire System · Little League Rules to Know Our National Instructor Team will utilize effective instructional strategies and leverage on-field drills and simulations to introduce, apply, and reinforce the concepts presented. Training materials and lunch will be provided for all attending umpires. However, umpires will be responsible for all other travel arrangements, including lodging, breakfast, and dinner, if appropriate. It is suggested that umpires bring all umpire equipment and gear, and umpires may dress in umpire uniform or wear clothing that allows them to move and participate freely in cage work, drills, and simulations accordingly. Umpires should also bring a glove with them to participate in all planned activities. **Note: Umpires under the age of 18 must be registered by their parent and/or legal guardian, and the contact information provided must be that of the parent and/or legal guardian. As a Little League Umpire, all umpires are reminded to complete a background check on the Umpire Registry for $5.00 in addition to completing the Abuse Awareness Training via USA Baseball and SafeSport. Attendees may be required to provide a copy of the certificate indicating completion of this Abuse Awareness Training prior to participating in the training event. Artist crits are often absent from our professional practices post education, so following the success of our group crits during our open call shows and residencies, we're currently focusing the energies of the studio on artists developing their individual practices. Alongside bespoke practice mentoring, we have found crits to be the most powerful tool to help artists at all stages of their careers. This crit will be held in the intimacy of our back studio space, where Kate and Sally will lead the sharing of work and supportive discussion with other artists.
