"For a minute there - I lost myself." Let Me In are back, returning on a UK Cathedral (and Minster..!) tour after a sell-out, acclaimed tour in 2024. Lose yourself in this sonically spectacular celebration of Radiohead's vast and ever-expanding universe of music - including hits and hidden gems from their 30 years in the spotlight from albums such as OK Computer, In Rainbows and The Bends. A full live band , with vocalists, accompanied by the nationally renowned Mike Nowland String Quartet , will transport you on an epic journey through the bestselling band's back catalogue within the stunning surroundings of Glasgow Cathedral, for a special show of live music you will never forget. The setlist will collate a detailed selection of hits and lesser known gems from all of Radiohead's nine albums to date, and will have something for everyone as we venture from 90s maudlin rockers to bombastic sonic landscapes in what is guaranteed to be a sensory experience like no other. Your band for the evening will be fronted by Christopher Buckle , and will include local musicians and Radiohead lovers - Alfie Woods, Bruce Higgs, Daniel Anketell, Josh Semans, Lydia Karaviotis and Musical Director - Ewan Steady . FAQs When do doors open? Doors will open 60 minutes before the music begins, meaning they will open at 4pm. This will give you ample time to come into the space, find your seat and relax before the music begins at 5pm. What are the stage times? There is no support act, so the music will begin at 5pm sharp. There will be one set with no interval, with the event finishing around 6.30pm. What age is the performance suitable for? This performance is suitable for those who are 14+, however, there are some intense lighting and sound moments throughout the evening, and we would recommend parental discretion. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. What are the seating arrangements? This is a standing only event, with an exception only for those with access needs. Is there disabled access? It is incredibly important to us that our performances are accessible to everyone that wants to come - therefore, we have ensured that An Evening of Radiohead is wheelchair accessible. Please ensure you book an Accessible Ticket for disabled access, and this way we can make sure we have ample staff and space to make sure you are all as comfortable as possible. Will Strattonis a songwriter and guitarist born in California's Central Valley and living in New York’s Hudson Valley. His eighth LP, Points of Origin, is a sprawling concept album, telling a story about intensifying California wildfires, intergenerational nostalgia, and human connection. It came out on March 7th on Bella Union (worldwide) and Ruination Records (USA). His previous albums, 2021’s The Changing Wilderness and 2017’s Rosewood Almanac, received critical acclaim from Sir Elton John, Alexis Petridis (The Guardian), and journalists at Pitchfork, Mojo, Guitarist, and Uncut, among others. Collaborators have included Hannah Frances, Cassandra Jenkins, The Weather Station, and Ben Seretan. Trippers & Askers is the folk / spiritual jazz project of musician, sound artist, educator and researcher Jay Hammond. The group's latest album Acorn takes inspiration from Octavia Butler's immersive and frighteningly prescient novel Parable of the Sower. As an intertextual work, Acorn brings together a wide array of collaborators that include members of Wye Oak, Califone, former Sun Ra member Ken Moshesh and comic artist John Jennings to explore the book's narrative as it pertains to the very real political and emotional challenges of the present. The album was called a shimmering homage to nature by The Guardian. Glasgow's own Cormac Nagle will be opening the evening. He blends an understated vocal drawl with timeworn melodies, uplifted by a singular, surrealistic lyrical voice. He has played shows across the UK, supporting international touring artists such as Ryley Walker, Andrew Combs, Dylan Earl, and Julianna Riolino. He has also garnered airplay on BBC Introducing and Ricky Ross from Deacon Blue’s Another Country show on BBC Radio Scotland. 2024 saw him release the singles Slept (Five More Minutes) and Cold Hand In Mine and play across the country, including a run of Scottish dates with award winning songwriter and author Wesley Stace (John Wesley Harding). 2025 has seen him join Jeffrey Martin on a UK tour, with a new batch of songs to be released later in the year. Every Tuesday throughout the school summer holiday we are running two pottery clubs for kids. An exciting opportunity at Creative Bloc for your child to explore and develop their own creative ideas through the medium of clay. Ages 5-9yrs in the morning: 10am -12pm Ages 10-14yrs in the afternoon: 1-3pm You can sign up to as many individual sessions as you like and for block bookings of 4 or more, please email us for a discounted rate at hello@creativeblocglasgow.com. Students will enjoy learning new skills as they discover techniques to hand build wonderful clay projects. In the studio, we will use slab, coil and pinch pot sculpting methods to create unique ceramic masterpieces. These may be practical sculptures for the home (vases, bowls, cups etc) or creative sculptural artworks (inspired by the environment, self portraits, animals, nature & space). There will also be the opportunity to try throwing pots on a potters wheel. Students will be encouraged to explore and realise their own ideas in clay and be involved in all of the ceramic processes. No previous experience is required and all materials and firing costs are included in the course. Our recommended age for this class is 5-9yrs. This is a guide only and we offer flexibility to attend whichever session a child feels more comfortable in. After the class (or classes), any finished work will be fired in the studio and ready to collect by the end of the summer holidays/approx 2 weeks after the last session. -- The tutor: Megan Devlin (she/they) is a Glasgow based artist and ceramic instructor. The Pyramid's Summer Holiday Club, provides arts, crafts, sports, performing arts and more for children currently in Primary 1 - Primary 4 (minimum age is 5 years old), along with registered childcare with Indigo Childcare. Our sessions will include breakfast and lunch and a safe space for the kids to play and learn during the holiday. Our Holiday Club is for those who live or attend school in the G3 7/G3 8 postcode areas only. We reserve the right to cancel bookings made by anyone outside of those areas. We do not provide wraparound care, so please do not book your child in for more than one session per day. There will be a one hour break between the morning and afternoon sessions where no children can remain on site. When you've made your booking, you'll receive a link to a full registration form. This MUST be completed in advance of the first session. How Speed Dating Works in Glasgow When you arrive at the Glasgow venue you will be greeted by our friendly professional hosts. Once everyone has arrived and registered we will briefly explain the format of the evening. The ladies will then be asked to make their way to their allocated table.
