6:30 - 7:30pm ~ Belly Dance 1: Fat Chance Style Basics This joyful, improvisation-based group dance style has roots in Egyptian, Turkish, Flamenco, and Indian folk dances, and it uses follow-the-leader concepts instead of choreography. In class, students learn a collection of basic movements and perform them together in groups following a more avanced lead dancer. Beginner skills include bumps, twists, figure eight, shimmy, and even finger cymbals. This group dance is perfect to enjoy with a friend; absolutely no dance experience required.
