Since 1977, the Sydney Festival has been embracing summer arts with a city-wide celebration of culture, creativity, and the spirit of discovery. From streets to beaches, from grand theaters to hidden basements, the Sydney Festival energizes Greater Sydney with a groundbreaking free and ticketed program, as well as experimental live performances. This summer marks the inaugural Sydney Festival under Director Kris Nelson and the 50th running since its inception in 1976. The Festival runs from 8 to 25 January 2026.

Co-Living: In the Crevices of Light unfolds like a contemporary duet, where Peng Yong’s meditative strokes meet Wang Xiaoshuang’s urban textures. It is their shared response to the idea of “symbiosis”—not as harmony or conflict, but as a state of mutual pull, echo, and co-construction, where coexistence is no assumed but continuously shaped.

"Bu Hua: Sammi's Fantastic Adventure" marks Bu Hua's first solo exhibition in Australia. This exhibition not only systematically presents the artist's multidimensional creative work across painting, printmaking, and digital imaging, but also further deepens her ongoing exploration of the relationship between fantastical narrative and realistic critique within the context of contemporary art. In conjunction with this, Suzaku Art is pleased to announce the "Bu Hua Animation: Screening and Conversation" event, allowing viewers to experience these museum-quality video artworks up close and personal.
