Each tenant will be opening their doors for the annual night of community delight. “Huge Art Show and Open Studios” event presents our established art collectives as we foster, develop and promote the growth of over 300 artists through our shared and community studio spaces. During our open studio night, we invite the public to get immersed in the creations of over 40 professional working artists’ studios, and to explore the many additional art-based businesses located throughout Hubbard Street Lofts. Welcome to the Dave McIntosh Author Talk at the Hubbard Free Library! Dave's talk on February 2nd will focus on experiences that led him to become an author of reference books. His passion for research, from building shields as a child to talking to people as a convener, Councilor, VP, and President of CMNA was sparked after finding that much of the information that others had given him was incorrect; discovering that was his reason to start writing with that first reference book. If there is time and interest, Dave will also discuss Scottish heraldry. Dave has a particular interest and knowledge of the heraldry of the Chattan clans. The run offers two distances providing the perfect warm up for the Spring race season. We offer a chip timed circular 10K run and 5K run with both routes departing from Cornwallis Academy! We are also offering a 1K family run for little legs! When buying a fundraising ticket, you are pledging to raise £100 for Heart of Kent Hospice, which will enable us to continue supporting those at the end of their lives and their families.
