The tour will use this bus all day and make the following stops: the office of the Unified U.S. Deported Veterans where participants can meet and talk with people who have been deported, the office of the Protectors of Emigrants on the border where people who are deported register with the Mexican government and are advised about where they can find shelter, Don Bosco Migrant Shelter, lunch prepared by women trained in nutrition by Via Migrante, presentation by Via International's Community Partner and MicroCredit group, Comunidad de Luz/Episcopal Diocese Migrant Shelter, Friendship Park next to the ocean and the border wall to learn about the Friendship garden and Border Church. Wings of Fire: FanWing Fest 2025 At the one-day festival, FanWings will be met with dragons, color, and an invitation to unleash their creative energy as they enter the event space. At check-in, FanWings will receive a laminate with a lanyard, a tribe-specific sticker, and (1) signed book per ticket. The laminate will include an activity list. Once FanWings are checked in, they will embark on an adventure through interactive activation stations, each themed after the original five dragon tribes. Completing activities will earn them collectible ribbons to attach to their laminate. FanWings will be fully immersed in the world of Wings of Fire through engaging activities, epic photo opportunities, in-depth book discussions, and the camaraderie of fellow fans. At key points throughout the experience, FanWings can meet at the Pyrrhia Stage for a photo op with author Tui T. Sutherland, compete in a trivia show, and take part in a costume parade. All Day Access to FanWing Fest Once you are checked into FanWing Fest, you will be given a lanyard to be worn at all times. If you exit FanWing Fest for any reason, you must have your lanyard on and access to your ticket to re-enter. Anyone that attempts to re-enter without their lanyard, will not be provided access. What Time Should I Arrive? We have a full day of events that you are not going to want to miss! Check in will begin at 9:00AM and end at 4:30PM, with the event closing at 5:00PM. What to Expect FanWing Fest will be a full day of interactive activities, exciting events, and discussing all things Wings of Fire! There will be scheduled programming that you won’t want to miss, as well as opportunities to explore and partake in independent activities. What to Bring You will need your digital or printed ticket to verify your entry into FanWing Fest. You may also consider bringing 8.5”x11” original artwork to display, a water bottle, medications that you may need. Depending on the location, there may not be access to outlets to charge devices. Please bring any portable chargers that you think you will need for the duration of FanWing Fest. What to Leave at Home Weapons of any kind are prohibited. Food & Beverages You may bring snacks into the venue. These should be ready to eat snacks, as there is no access to a microwave or other heating or cooling devices. Dress Code FanWings are encouraged to dress in a Wings of Fire themed outfit or costume. There will be an optional parade to show off your creativity amongst your fellow fans! Weapons of any kind will not be allowed, and any costume masks must be removable. Beyond a fierce costume, FanWings are strongly encouraged to wear sneakers and other comfortable clothing for a full day of walking around FanWing Fest. Layers may be preferable as the temperature within the venue may vary.
