A Ceremony of Carolsis a new Christmas tradition, featuring original ballets by Claire Kretzschmar, former New York City Ballet Soloist and Ballet Hartford's Artistic Director. The program begins with the world premiere of Weihnachtsbaum with music by Franz Liszt, and culminates in A Ceremony of Carols featuring twelve glorious songs by Benjamin Britten. Project Moshen hosts EXCERPTS, benefitting the Sandy Rollman Ovarian Cancer Foundation 7pm - welcome reception 8pm- show Get ready for an unforgettable evening at Project Moshen's Annual Ovarian Cancer Awareness Event, EXCERPTS, benefitting the Sandy Rollman Ovarian Cancer Foundation ( SROCF) on December 7th at the Performance Garage! This special occasion, held in loving memory of our Founder and Executive Director, Kelli Moshen's beloved mother, Jodi Moshen. EXCERPTS is a vibrant, family-friendly celebration dedicated to honoring those we've lost, supporting their families, advocating for our fighters, and celebrating our courageous survivors. Join us as we come together as a community to make a powerful impact! The night kicks off with a lively welcome reception featuring live music, donation based bar sponsored by Stateside, Bluecoat and My local brew works, delicious treats provided by Sweet T's Bakeshop, exciting raffles, and a silent auction generously sponsored by local businesses and organizations. 4:15pm show- Ballet IA-B (ages 6-11) with Ballet IV-V, African, fusion2 and Dancefusion. Dancefusion and the Gwendolyn Bye Dance Center presents Mixed Nuts, celebrating the holidays in dance with excerpts from the The Nutcracker Suite along with inspiring dances for Chanukah and Kwanzaa. The Dancefusion company will present Mary Anthony's spectacular work, A Ceremony of Carolsdepicting the Nativity through song and dance. The program will feature Dancefusion along with our junior company fusion2 and over 40 students from the Gwendolyn Bye Dance Center. It is sure to be great fun for all ages!
