At an undisclosed location in South Granville, we invite you to an intimate, plant-based 5 course dinner with very limited seating—this secret dinner series is featuring ceramists - Hidden gem ceramic artist of Jonathan Oleary.
Jonathan collaborated us to make special plates for the dinner, also a small plate and a spoon for each guest to take home.
Mæst Food Secret Dinner series
with collaboration—bringing together plant-based dining and the artistry of ceramics.
For this edition, we are honored to feature the work of
Jonathan O’Leary
, a still-hidden gem in the Canadian ceramic scene. With a background shaped through collaborations at Naagan—ranked No. 9 on Canada’s 50 Best Restaurants—his pieces embody both refinement and gentle strength, offering a new canvas for the season’s dishes.
O’Leary’s work is currently on display at Vancouver International Airport, further underscoring his place as a rising figure in contemporary Canadian craft.
The menu follows the Japanese
sekki calendar
— Autumn
Equinox,
Shūbun
.
Shūbun marks the moment when day and night stand in perfect balance, a turning point that ushers in deeper hues of autumn and the gradual shortening of light. It is a season of equilibrium—between warmth and coolness, harvest and decline.
The plant-based menu reflects this sense of balance, drawing on Japanese seasonality and Nordic sensibility—combining restraint with depth, air with earth. Inspired by recent travels through Scandinavia, the dishes are restrained yet layered, rooted in nature, and designed to draw the diner closer to the shifting rhythm of the season.
An intimate evening where food, craft, and time converge—served in vessels created to echo the atmosphere of the moment.
