This annual juried art festival of hand-crafted artwork including glass, photography, painting, mixed media, fiber, jewelry and much more, hosts hundreds of artists exhibiting and selling their work in an outdoor gallery. Come browse original arts and fine crafts from over 100 exhibitors. You’ll be sure to find something unique for everyone on your holiday gift list! The show starts at the entrance of E Atlantic Ave and NE 4th Ave in the heart of downtown. The show will proceed north on NE 4th Ave for two full blocks to NE 2nd St. The show also extends east and west over 4th Ave on NE 1st St. Click here for information on parking.

Unwind after work with an evening of expressive botanical sketching! Break free from rigid lines and discover a more spontaneous approach to drawing plants in this relaxed, social workshop. Using a variety of materials including pencil, pastels, charcoal, and ink, you'll create dynamic botanical studies while enjoying your favorite beverage. Perfect for both beginners and those wanting to loosen up their drawing style.
In this workshop, you'll create three expressive botanical pieces:
* Flowing gestural sketches of wild plants
* Bold charcoal or pastel studies of native FL foliage
* Loose ink wash drawings of flowers
You'll learn techniques including:
* Quick gestural mark-making
* Confident, loose strokes
* Building forms with simple shapes
* Creating movement and flow
* Expressive ink wash techniques
* Combining media for dynamic effects
All materials are provided, including quality mixed media paper, graphite pencils, pastels, charcoal, ink, brushes, and kneaded erasers. Join us for this perfect midweek creative escape! About the Instructor: Majoring in Illustration at Savannah College of Art & Design, I started my journey working as a textile designer for six years in Atlanta, GA. After lots of soul searching I jumped into a career of painting in 2013. I have been doing so full time since selling fine art, prints, and licensing my work. The natural world is so beautiful and I hope my art is a reflection of that sentiment. Discover the magic of watercolor in this festive 2-hour workshop where you'll create your own modern holiday/winter wreath painting. Perfect for both beginners and experienced painters, this workshop will guide you through creating a vibrant, flowing wreath with organic leaves and bright clusters of berries or similar baubles in varying colors (orange, blue, etc). In this workshop, you'll create one statement piece: A watercolor holiday wreath (choice of 8 x8 or 10 x10 ) featuring winter greenery and festive baubles.Through hands-on instruction, you'll master essential techniques: Creating organic leaf shapes with confident brushstrokesMixing vibrant greens for natural-looking foliageLayering techniques for depth and dimensionPainting berriesAchieving balance in your wreath compositionControlling water and pigment for both soft and crisp edgesAll materials are provided, including professional-grade watercolor paper, artist-quality paints, specialty brushes, and reference materials. Mixed Media and Collage Workshop: Have fun investigating symbols and narratives around places that has meaning for you. It could be your home, garden, or a political or historical event that you translate into mixed media and collage artwork. Students will be encouraged to blend paper, found objects, drawing, and painting to create bold abstract and narrative compositions. Examine design elements like line, form, and rhythm. All levels welcome. Bring a smock or shirt and disposable gloves if desired $50.00 Supplies included. Instructor Information: Renée Rey, an award-winning artist born in Sagamihara, Japan, lives and works in Delray Beach, Florida. Rey’s artwork has been recognized in national awards and exhibitions by notable museum and gallery professionals including Jade Dellinger, Director of Exhibits & Collections, Bob Rauschenberg Gallery, Fort Myers, FL; Julie Sasse, Chief Curator, Tucson Museum of Art, Tucson AZ; Erin Wright, Commissioning Editor and Producer, Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, CA; and Gisela Carbonell, Curator, Cornell Fine Arts Museum, . Honored with the 2024 Dina Baker Fund Grant from the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County, Rey's work has graced galleries across the globe. Recent solo shows include Bailey Contemporary Arts Gallery, Pompano Beach, FL, Tauni De Lessep Gallery at Palm Beach Atlantic University, West Palm Beach, FL, and the Hammond Hall Gallery, Jacksonville State University, Jacksonville, AL. Her group exhibitions span the Baker Museum, Naples, FL, Flatiron Gallery, New York, NY, Studio 33, Spain, Art Brut Biennale, Netherlands, and Project Space Brut, South Korea. Rey was awarded artist residencies at Bailey Contemporary Arts (2023-2024), School of Visual Arts in New York (2019), and Sun Peaks Center for Art and Sustainability (2016). Her art is in the collections of Bristol-Myers Squibb Co., New York, NY, First Albany, New York, NY, and Wasmer Art Collection at Florida Gulf Coast University, Fort Myers, FL. She served as the International Curator for the 2021 art exhibition Lo Cierto Es Lo Incierto held in Soriano, Uruguay. A dynamic lecturer, Rey has inspired students at Florida Gulf Coast University, New College, and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. With nearly a decade of teaching drawing, painting, and creativity in Florida, Rey brings a wealth of experience and education to her work. Her background includes extensive undergraduate coursework in drawing, painting, 3-D design, performance art, and art history and graduate courses in film and computer art. She holds an MBA in Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, an A.A.S. in Interior Design from Parsons School of Design, an M.A. in Jewish Education from the Jewish Theological Seminary, and a B.A. in Judaic Studies from the University at Albany. This diverse educational foundation infuses her artistic practice with exceptional depth and perspective.
