What once stood for the reason, the initial cause, is now comically reduced to corporate trademarks - shiny brand names of vulgar affordable or fetishized banality. In a futile effort to subvert, reroute and reinstitute LOGOS to his former essence, we install images of beauty, poetry and personal value in the rural wilderness, where the corporeal pillars of goddess Hestia still stand unnoticed and only the lost now wander.

7 artworks installed in various exterior locations in and around the city of Preveza, Greece. Marking the winter solstice. Set to remain on display for an unspecified period of time, exposed to the (un)favorable touch of natural and human intervention.

Attorno a Tintoretto. La Deposizione | Museo Diocesano
Mar 4–May 25, 2025 (UTC+1)
Milan
The Descent of Christ from the Cross, by Jacopo Tintoretto (Venice 1519 ca. – 1594) is the masterpiece at the heart of this exhibition, which serves as the starting point for a reflection that goes beyond art and history, becomes spiritual and provides us with the opportunity to dwell on the theme of the Passion and Resurrection of Jesus Christ in the time of Lent and Easter, during the 2025 Jubilee of Hope.
Part of the exhibition, is the section Around Tintoretto – Four Contemporary Artists Challenged by a Masterpiece, which showcases the works of Jacopo Benassi, Luca Bertolo, Alberto Gianfreda, Maria Elisabetta Novello, who have accepted the ‘challenge’ posed by the Venetian master: the Descent from the Cross is indeed a work of art that pierces space and time with its strength, putting us all to the test.
The large canvas was painted for the main altar of Santa Maria dell’Umiltà alle Zattere, the first Jesuit church in Venice, which was closed in 1806 and then demolished. The painting was acquired by the Gallerie dell’Accademia in 1821.
Dated around 1560-1562, during the painter’s mature period, the work perfectly combines emotional expressiveness, inventive originality, and technical and compositional skills. The well-thought-out scene is tragic and hectic at the same time – the movements are accentuated by a masterful use of light, which comes from an external source, producing strong chiaroscuro effects.
The resulting, intense emotional impact is emphasised by the exaggerated poses and expressions of the protagonists, who emerge from a dimly lit background.
Valerio Adami: Rethinking Display | Dep Art Gallery
Mar 7–May 17, 2025 (UTC+1)
Milan
Italian pop artist Valerio Adami, influenced by pop art, used daily life as the theme of his early paintings, and used black lines to divide and surround flat blocks of color in his oil paintings. Since the late 1960s, he has mainly painted portraits of historical themes. These characters are artists or writers who fill his spiritual world, full of irony or lyricism. In the 1970s, Adami's creations expanded to the scope of history, and after the 1980s, he even traced back to the French Revolution in the late 18th century. This exhibition focuses on the artist's representative works created between the 1970s and 2000.

Carlo Ciussi: Una danza di tracce e colore | Galleria A arte Invernizzi
Feb 25–Apr 29, 2025 (UTC+1)
Milan
Milanese gallery A arte Invernizzi presents a solo exhibition of Carlo Chiusi (1930-2012), entitled "A Dance of Trajectory and Color", curated by Lorenzo Madaro and featuring works from 1983 to 1990, confirming Chiusi's important place in the history of Italian art in the second half of the 20th century. The exhibition focuses on about twenty medium-to-large-scale paintings and works on paper, showing Chiusi's transition from geometric abstraction to a more open and casual practice. The sinuous forms and symbols in the works emerge from the heavy texture of the canvas, forming an ever-changing dance of trajectory and color. In particular, the titles of the works are composed only of Roman numerals, highlighting the spirit of non-figurativeness and continuous exploration. The works from this period reveal a new stage in Chiusi's sensuality and control. The exhibition is accompanied by a bilingual catalogue compiled by Lorenzo Madaro, which includes reproductions of the works and an updated biographical section.

Yanagi Yukinori is one of the representatives of Japanese neo-pop art in the 1980s and 1990s. He explores complex issues such as sovereignty, globalization and borders through large-scale, site-specific installations.
In the upcoming first large-scale retrospective in Europe, the focus is on his award-winning work "World Flag Ant Farm Project" at the 1993 Venice Biennale. This national flag made of sand is connected by plastic pipes. The ants moving randomly in the pipes invade the flags, and unpredictable cracks appear in the flag pattern. In addition, there are recent works by the artist, as well as large-scale installation works that are reinterpreted as a response to the post-industrial space of the Pirelli Bicocca Hangar Art Center.

Le Quattro Stagioni a Milano - The Four Seasons in Milan | Casa Cardinale Ildefonso Schuster - Via Sant'Antonio 5, Milan
Apr 5, 2025 (UTC+1)ENDED
Milan
But none were to do so in such precise pictorial detail as Antonio Vivaldi in his Four Seasons concerto! The whole Baroque epoch showed a deep interest in the amazing natural changes determined by the seasons. Bernini itself represented them in its fine sculptures. Baroque art has a dramatic conception of the relationship between man and nature and between man and the universe. Galileo’s discoveries brought about a shift in the position of man, who was no longer at the center of the cosmos. As a consequence, a new attitude of awe and wonder towards the power of nature emerged. Vivaldi’s Four Seasons are a symbol of his era. Not only is the feeling of astonishment conveyed by his spectacular description of nature, but also by his musical language. The composition aims at astounding the listener with unusual melodies, created through increased rhythm and higher harmonic contrast. His music is thus freer, more fluid and able to better describe the story it wishes to narrate. The scenes range from the chirp of different birds in spring, to summer storms, from fleeing foxes in autumn, to teeth chattering and rain pouring down in winter. In accordance with the highest expression of baroque concepts, nature is dramatized, and the audience feels actively involved in the rapid succession of events taking place in the work of art. Witness the evocative power of Vivaldi's The Four Seasons in Casa Cardinal Ildefonso Schuster of Milan. The most famous of Vivaldi’s works, and revolutionary example of Italian Baroque music, performed by Opera e Lirica Academy strings quintet and harpsichord. CASA CARDINAL ILDEFONSO SCHUSTER The House of Cardinal Ildefonso Schuster is a beautiful complex built in the 16th century on an original nucleus dating back to 1232, a hidden treasure located right in the center of Milan. The beauty and charm of its cloisters decorated with terracotta friezes and in Bramante's style, the Trivulziano and the Pio XII Hall, are undeniable. Just think of the history of the complex, which was used as a convent but also as a Military Court, up to the modifications that took place in the last century, involving one of the beautiful cloisters, which is now the Pio XII Hall, making it a covered space, to be used originally as a canteen, but then donated to culture becoming one of the city's cultural centers, now used as the Aula Magna of the State University of Milan, as well as a hall for events and concerts. So let yourself be transported by Vivaldi's The Four Seasons , in a place rich in history, a hidden gem just a few steps from the Duomo, in a unique, evocative and elegant hall, enclosed, as if in a warm embrace, by the beautiful porticoed corridor, once part of the cloister. Sam Lock | Cadogan Gallery
Feb 26–Apr 11, 2025 (UTC+1)ENDED
Milan
Sam Locke was influenced by existentialism in the post-World War II world, a philosophical inquiry that raised urgent questions about human nature, alienation and identity, constituting the underlying currents in his work. Through this exhibition, Locke traces themes in his work through more than 70 works, such as the visual transposition of language, the dichotomy of presence and absence, and the connection between fragmentation and infinity.
Like the lines of a poem, Locke's works have the same structure: they come from the same roll of canvas, each with marks, colors, similarities and differences... Each work is unique while being related, and at the same time, like the notes of a musical score, they release new meanings when they are "read" as a corpus.
