Gemstone Faceting Instructor: Mike Froebe Date: 4 Part Class - March 1st & March 2nd -11am-4pm March 8th & March 9th -11am-3pm(18 hours total) Ages 18 & up $375 All supplies provided Beginning Introduction to selecting and faceting gemstones. Students will be provided with a rough stone to cut, and will be lead through the steps needed to create their own faceted gem to keep. The class will cover the workings of faceting machines, a bit of optics (no math required), and the fine art of polishing gem stones. Students will learn: what to look for in gem rough. How to use a faceting machine, how light reacts inside of a gem to give it it's sparkle. How to find the resources and expertise to further develop their skills! - Please Read Below - Check your email a few days before your class for further instructions. Our classroom is located upstairs and are limited to 4 students for this class. You are purchasing a seat at an event just like a sporting event or concert.
