We will start with an overview of safety around the laser, materials, processes, learn some basics of designing vector outlines for cutting, preparing outlines for cutting, and physical operation and cutting/engraving on the laser. The Route 66 State Park staff and Gateway Regional Investigations of the Paranormal (GRIP) invite you to join them for paranormal investigation of the iconic Route 66 State Park’s Visitor Center. Located on the historic Route 66 highway, it first opened as the Bridgehead Inn in 1935; then the Steiny:s Inn in 1946; back to the Bridgehead Inn in 1972; and finally, the Galley West in 1980. It was converted into the Visitors Center in 1999. You will investigate the three darkened floors of this historic building and the outside surroundings (weather permitting) with members of the park staff and GRIP team. You will explore the basement where the bar used to operate, the first floor where the restaurant used to be, and the second floor where travelers spent the night. Stories have been told about some of the “departed” staff members still wanting to make sure visitors have an enjoyable stay! Are the stories true? Come and find out for yourself! The cost for this special event is $40 per person, plus taxes and applicable fees. Participation will be limited to 16 people to maximize the investigation experience. Given the scope of the investigation, the minimum age for participating will be 15 years old. Participants aged 15-17 years old must be accompanied by a responsible adult. We are pleased to announce that Amit is coming to Australia again in March/April, to teach a series of workshops and a retreat. This is an incredible and rare opportunity to work with an internationally acclaimed Voice & Breathwork teacher and Sound Healing Master. During the course you will be led on a journey of opening to your natural voice and allowing your deepest music to sing through you. The Wild Roots Practice teaches us to listen deeply, relax and connect to what Amit is calling: ''the breather''. It offers a way to explore our creative nature and express our unique voice in a supportive, healing and welcoming way. It strengthens the experience of our true nature, deepening our intimacy with oneself and others, increasing the tribal sense of belonging, revealing and freeing our sexual and musical creative nature, are only a few of the intentions and offerings of the Wild Root Vocal Journey. This journey is not only for the singers or the musicians. Anyone with the inclination to meet their true nature and learn something new will benefit. This experience teaches us to express what is deep within us and to throw away preconceptions of ‘art’ or sounding good. This is about true presence within ourselves, with each other, with nature. Saturday 5 April - Concert Supra at Newrybar Community Hall Join us for a unique Concert Supra experience enjoying a light traditional Georgian supper served to accompany the mesmerising polyphonic sounds of Melbourne’s superb Georgian vocal ensemble Tsinskaro. There will be singing, storytelling and traditional toasts, with guests joining in the classic, communal rituals of a Georgian supra - where food, drink, singing and toasting are shared to celebrate the joy of life, love, family, community and harmony.
