In these creative sessions hosted by local Boscombe and Southbourne-based mother-artists Emilie Giles and Corrianna Clarke, participants will have the opportunity to learn and make together. Each session will focus on a new and simple creative project, guided by a mother. The events are designed to be adult-centered, but children are welcome to attend and take part. No prior experience is required, and women at any stage of their creative journey or career are encouraged to join. All necessary materials, along with guidance, tea, toast, and play space for little ones, will be provided. M/Others Who Make events are inclusive of women, people who birth, and non-binary individuals who are mothers, parents, or caregivers. Artists from all disciplines and interests are invited to join, whether their creative identity is a profession, a passion, or currently dormant. League structure Teams will compete within their leagues for a place in the finals’ day cup competition over the course of seven weeks, seeing who will be crowned champions. Leagues will renew from January for the spring term. These 5-a-side leagues are played on Sundays at our Talbot Campus site. You can also book onto a 9-a-side or 11-a-side team. We welcome local creatives and touring shows to join us in continuing to redevelop the theatre The Palace Court Theatre in central Bournemouth, owned by AUB since 2021, is being taken through an ambitious transformation process, to create a fully functioning theatrical performance space for the use of students and the community. Whilst essential repairs and substantial refurbishment to the theatre have already been undertaken there is still much to do to create a vibrant, positive resource in the centre of town. We are holding termly Open Site events to invite local creatives into the space. The purpose is to share the mission and vision of the Theatre, show the spaces available, the current technical set up and explain the booking process. If you are a local artist, theatre group, school, performer, touring theatre company that is interested in creating/ programming work in the Palace Court Theatre then this is your opportunity to hear about the venue and how you can be involved.
