Theresa Quagraine
Theresa Quagraine first encountered HTML and CSS back in elementary school while trying to customize her shop on Neopets, long before she even knew what “code” was—and that playful tinkering sparked a lasting love for web development. She later earned a Bachelor of Arts & Science from the University of Saskatchewan with minors in Digital Culture & New Media and Psychology, giving her a unique blend of technical skill and insight into human behaviour. Theresa has volunteered as an instructor for the Black Kids Coding Camp run by BPES and served as a mentor with Canada Learning Code’s Kids Learning Code program, helping young learners take their first steps online. Professionally, she is currently a team lead at Vendasta and looks forward to seeing the creative sites participants will build in this camp.
Theodocia Quagraine
Theodocia Quagraine's web development journey began at the age of twelve when she independently created a fan page for her favorite show during the summer, driven by enthusiasm and a desire to explore. This initial curiosity grew into a focused pursuit, leading her to earn a Bachelor of Arts and Science degree in Interactive Systems Design from the University of Saskatchewan.
There, she developed expertise in creating websites designed with the user in mind.Currently, Theodocia serves as a User Experience Content Coordinator at the University of Saskatchewan, where she applies her programming and design abilities to build user-friendly websites. Beyond her professional role, Theodocia is actively involved with the Daughters of Africa Resources Centre SK. This organization shares her commitment to improving opportunities for people of African-descent in Saskatchewan. Theodocia is driven by the hope of seeing more Black men and women achieve success in the field of technology.
